Help! I've installed spb 3.5...but how do i disable it to get back to Samsung's UI? i've already set enable Samsung UI, but it still shows me SPB shell!

Yes its is.

Goto Launcher -> Tools -> Show Today Screen. That should take you back to Samsung's UI but SPB will still be running in the backgrouond.
To quit SPB shell Launcher -> Settings -> SPB Mobile Shell -> Tap bottom right of screen -> Exit Shell
As for disabling SPB after soft reset, I have not known of it yet. Anybody care to help on that?

want to ask. installing Garmin into the mobile is FoC? or need pay how much?

obviously its not FOC..you need to pay in order to use it..unless you go google your self..

Not now. My wife just start using the phone, suddenly i go change her UI, sure kena wan...lol.

Anyway, i've uninstall the SPB 3.5, but the problem is, the bottom right shortcut which is previously 'PhoneBook' still appears as 'SPBHOME' and when i click it it gives an error message........finally, i've to do a factory reset....and re-sync back all the contacts from the PC....

Frankly, this is my first experience with Win Mobile....can't say i like it.....i still think my Nokia 5800 Symbian OS much more user friendly despite not having so many fancy eye candy.

btw, how do i make the OMNIA II rotates?? It seems only to rotate in SMS screen...other screens cannot? Symbian OS does a much better job at this really...

I wouldnt say that winmo interface is all eye candy. i prefer to call it functionality because its possible for different users to customize the information they want to see or the shortcuts they want on the main page. yes, symbian is easier to use, but the user interface on the icons menu is still a bit weird because you cant flick thru it, you have to use a scrollbar or drag the icons down to get to other icons.

what other screens u mean?

skyfire did rotate on the pda like touch pro.
due to the phone design, the screen will force rotate when using keybooard.
it is not possible for omnia2 now i guess. so viewin youtube video is like ..
need to move around the screen to catch the video

anyway i dont think winmo6.5 for omnia2 is up yet ..

Maybe someone should call Samsung support and see if it's availble for firmware updates for Winmob 6.5 at the SC?

I've called. They dunno when the 6.5 will be available. Said MS hasn't informed them.

I think the person that answer you doesn't know anything. Samsung already received the new win mobile 6.5, but we don't know when Samsung finish tweaking it.

Probably, still, whatever the reason, it is still not available yet.

Come to think of it. It's still 5th October 2009 in the US now? So maybe it'll be release tomorrow.

not really...i think it will be today, around 11 or 12...US is 1 day later than us ma..our is GMT+8, theirs is GMT-8..depending on which region.
so its either today or 2molo..

btw, wanna ask, will this 6.5 upgrade renew/upgrade our ROM as well? mine is still the original G6 version..

@lhongwuh, i read it on other forums saying tat SPB mobile shell is better to put in main storage..so..just follow the crowd only...
