guys..i know tis was asked before but it's not properly solved yet. the method mentioned by baronic doesn't work here.

when i sent a sms, the notification 'message sent' is very annoying cz it plays the same tone as new incoming sms..and i cant turn it off!

using SPB 3.5 now. under settings > sound and notifications, if untick 'enable sound for notifications' thn alarms and reminders wont work as well...while under start>settings>sound, there isn't anything for me to adjust it...

anyone care to help me on tis one?

I'm officially upgraded to 6.5 by using my XP.
It is very simple and i am watching movie while upgrading the phone...
I'm happy for the results, as for as now the phone works much much more better than the previous 6.1.
Especially the "Start" button, it is dam fast.
Some improvement like the sliding unlock is quite useful as well.
6.5 comes with threaded sms which the interface looks very cool.

successfully updated my phone at SCC PJ. it was fast, within 30-45mins.

how u do that ya?im still stuck lor..i m try search the device and after that got 2 device
1 is GTi8000 (connected)
2 is Windows mobile base device (connected)

but i canot press the connect icon. why pls help...

very annoying, I try to update the OS using vista and windows 7, all fail for so many times.
In Vista it say my phone cannot be updated need to restart and reconnect again. then I restart and reconnect to my Pc while it download software from internet, then comes to step 4 where the phone will switch off by itself, I can see the big battery indicator appears on the screen for 10 second, then nothing happen on the next 60 minutes.
I disabled the antivirus software throughout the process, I even hard reset the phone . nothing good.
Any clue?

i'm not sure what causes this cos there already some people here says that Vista and Windows7 wont work in upgrading the phone...
anyhow i successfully upgraded using XP and it is very smooth and no problem at all...

Just take it to a Samsung Center , they will do it for you less than an hour , painless , no need to try some many times and stress yourself...
You can try doing it win xp , if you have xp machine around the house , but in my opinion just back up your phone and go to the Samsung center easier and painless , and if anything goes wrong with the upgrade they will be responsible not you.

I have already done the upgrade @ SSC . Cool. Scrolling Responding faster a lot compared to 6.1. But then TF3D some problem starting some settings. Will try to tweak around later on.

anyone know how to disable TouchWiz UI after upgrade? it seems the option is missing from general setting
