i think they cover accidents. Once my fren drop his phone into the water. They fix for him without any additional charges

well..it depends on how u claim the warranty
if u putt he fault on manufacturing then they will cover...
but normally won't cover for accidents...

Just install some themes to my phone.....Then make a restart. Suddenly my phone cannot change to landscape mode, everytime i change to the landscape mode, the phone will restart itself.....haiz........although i uninstall all the themes the prob still the same. At last, soft reset solve the prob....haiz.....anyone face before?

never faced this. but as many others have point out, the 5800XM is "experimental" device and we all users become the "lab rat"
So definitely got many bugs.

My own experience: bought it brand new, bring home update FW. then next day after i first time swith off phone and switch on, try to on music player then the screen went dead! except the screen edges got pink/rainbow colours garbled like TV "snow effect". I so shocked! then phone reboot itself. but it only show the nokia logo, but never come out the handshake animation. then screen went blank. cannot boot up. read online that have to take out memory card then can boot up. I also reformat memory card as suggested. but till today, i cannot turn on phone with the memory card inside. must be removed then can turn on. strange...

In our tube, there is a MAPS app. is that the Nokia Map?
how do i use it? ang any charges for it?

but hey.. i'm one big happy "lab rat" to own 5800xm coz it price is unbeatable...
where can find any on par brand with tat kinda price...

They make you lab rab but the price unbeatable in the market.

Have u seen HTC? Samsung? Watever other brand does that? U wont even have a chance.

hahaha....act before it restart, i also get the same thing like u.... the "snow effect". also need to take out the battery as it just boot until nokia logo....erm...but mine is becoz of the themes that i installed. I think you need to perform hard reset one time. What u mean cannot turn on the phone with the memory card inside? U mean u not using memory card now....I think hard reset with green+red+camera button while power on will solved this problem. If problem still occured. Then maybe hardware problem. Time to go NCC.

if urs ori and under warranty.... you can go back NCC and get them solve it for you...
by the sound of it... maybe you having class 2 mc problem...
most of the owner having class 2 mc face some sort of problems like you...
and from last few thread.. they got it changed to class 4 or 6 foc at NCC....

ya, forgot to mention i also hard reset once. but problem still persists. what i mean to say is that if my memory card is inside while device is off and i try to turn on, device will not boot up properly. i need to remove card first, boot up, then once already booted, insert my memory card. haizzzz...very the leceh..

do any of you guys think that my situation is legitimate for warranty replacement? thanks

yeah honestly..worth to be a lab rat with all the function inside the tube....
So far still satisfy with the tube...Just one problem...the tube crash easily...erm...
If the phone working fine...don dare to install any new app.. scare it crash again...

sure....where got this kind of thing one....probably ur memory card prob...try check ur memory class and visit NCC....

if have tried all the tricks... then it time to excercise our tube user rights lioa... go NCC and claim warranty lor...

Do you have other microSD memory card to try it on your phone?
It can be only the memory card problem and not your phone problem.

Anyway, going to NCC is the best choice.
