Morning guys,

I am 33 years old only, but earning around 7k to 9k per month, working as chemical engineer.

My net worth is very low, everyday I eat mostly roti and nasi lemak only.

I driving proton persona only, very cheap car.

My net worth is around RM950K (including EPF, bank acc, stocks and shares).

I got no debts as of now.

My car - Paid in full cash.

All personal loan already paid back to bank.

As of now, zero debts.

May I know am I doing something wrong? Should I be earning much more as a 33 year old Malaysian?

I would say u are doing good. Same 33 here my networth is double of yours but considering how much I'm making per month (my income is around 40 to 50k per month including rental) I feel like I have splurged too much on unnecessary stuff.

I have around 4m debt, 2 property debt and 1 car debt. Rental can't break even with my instalment

An update:

KWSP - RM179.9k
Equities - RM347.9k
Cash - RM12.9k
ILP - RM12.6k
Bond - RM40.5k

Credit card - RM26.9k

Total - RM566.9k

Home MV ~RM470-500k / Remaining HL RM447k
Car MV ~RM60-65k / Remaining HP RM64k

* Will exclude these from net asset computation, the MV (slightly conservative) just about covers the remaining loan amount.

Age - 30 y/o

Target RM1mil net worth by 35, and RM1mil in EPF by 40 (purely from employment, except self-contribution <RM3k p.a. to meet the tax benefit as long as it's available). At the moment, despite life throwing some curveballs (RM40k in unexpected expenses in the last 6 months), still on track.
*
Another year, another update.

KWSP - RM235.7k
Equities - RM377.1k
Cash - RM16.2k
ILP - RM15.2k

Credit card - RM20.6k

Total - RM623.6k

NOTE: This includes an unrealised "loss" of RM81k on the equities as compared to last year's position.

Home MV ~RM500k / Remaining HL RM440k
Car MV ~RM55k / Remaining HP RM55k

* Will exclude these from net asset computation, the MV (slightly conservative) just about covers the remaining loan amount.

Age - 31 y/o

Target RM1mil net worth by 35, and RM1mil in EPF by 40 (purely from employment, except self-contribution <RM3k p.a. to meet the tax benefit as long as it's available).

The RM81k "loss" year-on-year in one of my holdings feels painful and seems like it might prevent me from meeting my goals. But if the stock recovers as I anticipate it to, the goal might be achieved sooner too.

if i were the kidnaper, i'd do more homework first.

but since he has a long list of wealth right, can just randomly ask him to show his numbers (redacted of course).
no need to show his business. 303k EPF can also be a good start, followed by ASM, FD and other investments.
