But if you have 18-105, not likely you will buy the 55-200. The 70-300 is a better match for the 18-105 but it is much more expensive.

The 18-105 & 55-200 range is very different... right?

Added on September 25, 2009, 9:24 amRM 20 to me is reasonable for a whole day workshop.

CMOS sensor(complimentary metal oxide semiconductor) consume less energy, perform better in low light, but cost more

Hey guys, any views on the Metz mecablitz 48 AF-1 speedlite ar? I was browsing online and stumbled upon it... does seem tempting. Wonder how it fares against the SB-600 and Nissin Di866...

Guys, am a D40 user and gonna shoot my company event next week in a hotal ballroom. Would like to ask for you guys opinion for which combination is most suitable for the event:-

1. Di622 with 18-55
2. Di622 with Sigma 18-200
3. Di622 with 35 1.8

Thanks in advance.

what grip do u mean?
if u mean body grip, both r similar in body size, the grip sure not much difference

well, it depends on what functions n flash power u nid
Metz 48 is similar to SB600 in specs, but cheaper than SB600, but the quality is competitive to SB600
Di866 however is high power flash like SB900 at the price close to SB600 n Metz48
quality n functions wise, Metz & Nikon r better
but if want powerful flash on par with SB900, get Di866
Jz my opinion nod.gif

i think u dun quite nid 18-200, cos it is an indoor event n u'll be shooting portraits n group pics, hardly nid to zoom
unless u nid to zoom up to the stage la if there is 1...

35 1.8 will be my choice, but if take group pics u nid step back a few steps la
18-55 is more flexible, can zoom in or take group pics easily
but 35 1.8 pics output r nicer
Jz my humble opinion nod.gif

'selling', not 'going to sell' la
since u 'got' your D90 d, not 'getting' it tongue.gif tongue.gif laugh.gif laugh.gif
finally u made the big leap! congratz! rclxms.gif
although i know the news from D90 thread d tongue.gif

keep your D60 as backup cam la, y sell when u bought D90 d...
most ppl sell b4 buying for funds...
or u want to fund for new lenses? brows.gif

In my opinion the 35 f1.8 enables higher shutter speeds and lower ISO also less flash power needs. I would go with that + a combination of a standard wide zoom (18-70/18-55). Anyway... I just started using the Nissin Di-622 the performance is pretty impressive and should have enough power.

thanks for the opinion... kinda leaning towards the Di866, as my budget is around rm900+ i like it's features but heard the build qualitry of the metz is good... wonder which will be the best bang for the money...

my usage is quite varied, from night-time club events to outdoor/indoor events and even food reviews. kinda tricky to decide tongue.gif
