QUOTE(okk @ Oct 22 2009, 07:36 AM) Hi, anybody tried this Vivitar new flash before on LX3? Its specs says that it fully support TTL, and it's very cheap with good specs. See below: http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/6008...3_Series_1.htmlAnybody has idea on this? i think there is a similar product from Falcon Eye (model : DPT-386AFZ)... at least from the outlook its same, no idea on the power and fucntion.

Lens and LCD protector?.........
Don't tell me you actually let them STICK UV stickers on the lens!!??
For me, I find covering the rm1k++ lenses with a cheap protector sticker might give it protection, but spoiled the image quality all together. What's worse a sticker!. From my experience protective stickers will affect the image quality once it get's light scratches and turn dirty. Not to mention flares or unwanted reflection from the sticker.
The shop offer me the same stickers for the lens, a cheap rm20 or 30 one. Imagine my horror of putting like that in front on the most important thing on the camera. Better to invest on an adapter and lens hood.

or get a Ricoh LC-1 automatic lens cap, which for me, just arrived this afternoon Fully zoomed out Fully zoomed in took me ard 30 mins fiddling with the perfect balanced for the thickness and location of the tape now theres only a VERY VERY slight dark spot on the bottom right hand corner of the camera with the flash on, and ZERO vignetting on full zoom. used 4 layers of tape, unlike the 3 recomended on ianho's blog. and i think i've just added 200 to the pwrcnt in just 1 day This post has been edited by Nightstalker1993: Oct 23 2009, 12:35 AM

Turn it until the white dot is at about 4-5 o'clock position. Near the Macro flower there. Play around with it until satisfied. The way u've done it now looks very nice n symmetrical but the top flap blocks the flash. what u need to do is let the flash shoot tru the gap between the flaps. Waiting for laichong adapter.... seems I can't bring it around for pictures.... Should have just gone to meet you today . I would think CPL would have an impact, removing reflections hehe. If you have bought the adapter set with UV, you would have been able to check it out. I'll let you know once I received it.

QUOTE(andrekua @ Oct 24 2009, 12:22 AM) CPL filtering is stronger than UV. Why need to stack up? Coz it's very troublesome everytime to remove the UV, and replace with the CPL, then remove CPL and replace with UV again....imagine you are on a trip where you go outdoor and indoor throughout the day. At bright daylight outdoor, you need CPL and once you go indoor or places with no sunlight, you have to remove the CPL again and replace back with UV. If I can stack it up, UV will always stay on the lens.

If u don't zoom, leave it at widest angle, do u still see the ring? Thanks.
