QUOTE(n3wb13 @ Sep 16 2009, 11:36 PM) Check out my bag content here wow! that is big!!Its a lil big for LX3 only... but it fits all the accessories... Now I've remove the adapters from the bag (seldom use... might sell it i guess... @ethanhan : i saw LX3 at most of the Best Denki, MV misc camera shops, might try your luck with the forummer here also... gd luck on ur search http://www.yamiya.com.my/store/product.php...&cat=364&page=1 Just wonder if this can fit in all your accessories? I have almost similar setup with yours! adapter + 2 lens and even the filter pouch too. But I still haven't find a bag that suits them. Looking at Lowepro Apex 110 too but cannot tell the actual size by looking at it online. Sadly my place doesn't have a shop that have stock to let me see the real thing. http://shashinki.com/shop/lowepro-apex-sho...ack-p-2220.html I am looking for a smaller bag too that fit only my LX3 + Adapter with filter, so I can leave my Tele and Wide lens at home. But Lowepro Apex60 confirm cannot fit. Does anyone knows Crumple 2 million can fit it or not? |

QUOTE(Nightstalker1993 @ Sep 17 2009, 01:28 AM) btw guys, any of u notice distortion problems at 16:9 with the lens at the widest? hahaha... that's normal. Ultra Wide lens are like that. I think LX3 uses software to correct it, but for some reasons leaves some on.example, in this pic, girl and guy at the extreme left/right of the image looks wide ![]() is this just my camera or is it all like that? saw in the dpreview review that it have very little distortion even at the widest setting, but that was at 4:3 . |

QUOTE(Nightstalker1993 @ Sep 18 2009, 02:52 AM) hey guys, wanna ask whether is it worth it to get the tele adapter? I bought one, but seldom use it. Too bulky to bring around and defeat the purpose of choosing LX-3 as a compact point and shoot. In fact I also bought the Wide lens and filters. it is fun to play with them, but dun expect miracles. Better get the DSLR out when u think u r going to shoot some nice pic. After all, bringing all the accessories with the LX-3 is not very different from carrying a DSLR. As for Bokeh - no... when u increase the distance (u will need to zoom in avoid vignette) the f/ stop increases, and the conversion lens will increase the aperture in actual - so Bokeh is very limited comparing to real lens.mainly use would be to do bokeh portraits. but not too sure the effect geng enough or not lol. anybody mind posting a sample bokeh portrait at full zoom? |

Half done, but need lots of courages because i really need to screw it on and off VERY HARD! I am worried that tomorrow u will see me posting here crying that I have broke my camera lens |

QUOTE(Synthesia @ Sep 29 2009, 08:53 PM) @ahhann I use full manual and set the aperture it to as small (higher number = smaller, so i can set a longer exposure time) as I can get the nicest trail. But if it is too bright, I'll use my ND filter (for long long trail). I thought The ND filter is fun too to reduce the DOF, but anyway result is not very good due to the limited zoom and small sensor size. But u need to get the lens adapter to use a filter.set to shutter priority mode. have at least a mini tripod with you. mount your lx3 onto the tripod set shutter to a few seconds, depending on your liking. you can experiment the duration of shutter to obtain a result of your liking. Added on September 29, 2009, 11:08 pmDoes anyone know whether the LX3 has enable slave modes for speedlights such as nissin di622, or maybe others? |

IMPORTANT NOTICE from PANASONIC [Updated September 30, 2009] • The firmware update service for the LX3 (ver.2.0) is suspended for some technical reasons and will be resumed on October 20, 2009 as a firmware ver.2.1. QUOTE(bezet @ Oct 9 2009, 04:29 PM) Guys... Im in dilemma... Lowepro AW = All Weather - it is true "Weatherproof". Anyway, I doubt the Nat Geo can fit too, but no chance to try out. Better buy a bigger bag like Crumpler 1 or 2 mil.Nat Geo NG1152 http://shashinki.com/shop/national-geograp...facturers_id=84 or Lowepro Apex 60 AW http://shashinki.com/shop/lowepro-apex-all...facturers_id=30 For my LX3+ Adapter... Any idea what is the pros and cons for each of these two? Added on October 9, 2009, 7:51 pm QUOTE(ianho @ Oct 9 2009, 05:58 PM) Ya I agree! Pls try b4 u buy.I got a lot of the accessories: Pandabase Adapter, Tele, Wide, CPL filter, ND filter, UV filter, flash, tripod (Benro 250EX), extra battery and SD... Frankly, 99% of the time when I carry the LX3 out, those accessories sleeps at home. IMO, better invest in a real DSLR if u r willing to carry those loads, Or u expect those things can help u to take photo "like a DSLR". Even LX-3 + Adaptor + few filters are very inconvenience to carry around! Furthermore, those accessories can't take very good qaulity photos like DSLR due to the limitation of small sensor & quality of the extra Lens. Bare in mind too, converter affects the aperture too. BUT!! If it is just for "fun" ( like Ianho taiko who has both Leica & LX-3) go for them!! fun to play with and to "wow" friends (but at a cost lar..) QUOTE(david9 @ Oct 13 2009, 02:45 PM) Guys , I think Price should be around RM1550-1650, depending on the bundled "gift" and availability.wanna ask how much is the current price of lx3 ? cuz i'm gonna buy it this month and want to know whether lx3 and g10 comparison , which wan good in taking potrait side ? if possible , pm me I prefer LX3 over G10 for the cool classic look, size, and the 24mm wide lens + 2.0 aperture. Meaning I can get more nice indoor picture as indoor is usually limited lighting (big aperture helps), limited distance (wide lens helps). As for outdoor, G10 might have a bit extra edge with the extra zoom. (But who need zoom for landscape?) Zoom only help if u r shooting sports, events, birds.. If u really want to take good portrait, or very good outdoor pic, go for DSLR. For serious portrait, forget about both LX3 and G10, u need extra lighting most of the time, go for DSLR. Both are only P&S camera - to complement DSLR, not to replace. All P&S has big limitation. Don't expect too much, G10 and LX3 is just "above the rest". Canon S90 might be another option for u to consider. But as for me - I love my LX3. G10 just lack the "soul". |

QUOTE(=Hanxz= @ Oct 13 2009, 10:48 PM) i sanded mine until the white dot vanish, now my LC-1 can just clip on the lense ring but bad thing is that it would not hold that strong so if anyone wanna sand theirs, do make sure how much u intend to sand QUOTE(Shinichi @ Oct 13 2009, 10:52 PM) Same here. I sanded it until the white dot just vanished too. Then use a pen knife to cut away the plastic part that block the way. I use sand paper No.80 to start with, then move to No.120. Sanding is quite fast, about 1/2 hour (while watching TV At first I thought I can snap it into the detachable "ring" and can be screw in and out as I need, but it's not, u still snap it onto the camera after removing the "ring" - just like the original LC-1, but now nicer and easier. It is not too loose too if u do it properly. Vignetting is barely noticeable only at max zoom. |

QUOTE(lonewolf @ Oct 15 2009, 10:27 PM) the thread on the LX3 i think is not aluminum, is plastic...those who eventually spoil the thread is because the LC1 "kaki" is holding too tight...so what u can do is just make it loose abit I confirm it is metal (Aluminium?) lah. I even pushed it so hard that I'm afraid the whole lens might drop off, but it doesn't. I also tried my new LC-1, which is very fit, to screw it in and out very hard until my LC-1 has thread, so it can be use like a threaded ring. The purpose I threaded it is because I often take it out to use my Adapter and filters.by the way, anyway to upload photo directly to this forum? I tried many times tonight but failed to upload to my flickr acc. |

just keep shooting. when u look at ur own photo it is always like not nice, nothing to shoot. But if u look at other's, even shooting a pair of crocs, tooth brush in bathroom, ants around ur lef over food.. looks so nice. Don't try to look for "perfect" moment. Try to make use of what available, and freeze it with your camera.
There is always something nice around us. We r tooo used to them that we dun realized them. Photography actually changed our perception of life. We learn to appreciate things around us, and through sharing we learn and enjoy together. It is not the equipment that make a good photo. It is the object, angle, composure, available lighting that we carefully "compose" - to include, or to exclude, to avoid or to highlight. we can always find a lot of good photo taken by very simple P&S. Equipment can only enhance and "try to" perfect it. So 90% of the time a good photo depends on your skill, not equipment - and LX3 is the tool that we use. It is more advantage to DSLR in the sense that we can easily take it around, and when we suddenly see something interesting, it is always available to give us an acceptable quality shot. |

I had problem with seeing the page when using Google Chrome (Maybe I keep visiting the site that it cached it). It keeps showing old page with suspended v2.0. Solved when using another browser (Firefox, IE), I think should be my cache setting. Anyway if u have same problem , just clear the cache or use another browser.
