lol a few checkpoints:

is the dial in P mode?

the focus button is NOT the shutter button. It's smaller one beside the shutter button. I confused that and that costed about 50 PWRCNT.

repeat step 6 when you get to the screen of zeroes, aka '< + MENU/SET, then FOCUS'

Camera info

VER 2.00:0000:0105
NO: F360**********
PWRCNT: 4873
SHTCNT: 15435
STBCNT: 1841
PSVCNT: 118

I bought mine end Dec 2008... That averages out to about 1.7k shots a month??
Wow...
Was just wondering is the SC on a compact relevant as to a DSLR?
As in shutter durability? Is there a limit to hit on the LX3 before u need to replace the shutter unit like DSLRs?

most camera shops carry lenspens. its a pretty popular accessory. more of a necessity for me tongue.gif

get the lenspen mini II. smaller and should fit in a camera pouch nicely. smile.gif

try checking out yamiya or shashinki also lol.

I just wipe the front my lense using lint cloth (comes with spectacles usually). is it save?

PS. I just remembered if a small hard object like a grain of sand stuck on the cloth and u wipe it, say bye bye to the lense.

with the LC1 mod on my cams. I've never had to wipe my lens a single time coz u never touch it 1. The LC1 flaps makes sure nothing touches the lens. Only need to use a blower to blow off the dust every now n then.
