erm dont really get your issue here. disconnected from the line when you are on the phone or when the phone on stand by mode?

if on the phone mayb you accidently click it with your cheeks. this happened to me before cos the heat sensor didnt sense my hear. but that was just once or twice.

and for disconnection during stand by mode, perhaps your simcard slot got problem? try using simcard from other service provider? if problem still persist, then its probably your simcard tray loose already. smile.gif

Uh oh?

Apple Blocking Push Notifications on Unlocked iPhones? [Updated]
http://www.macrumors.com/2009/07/13/apple-...locked-iphones/

"When the Push based application such as NotifyMe requests an ID from APNS, the server responds within a second and identifies the device with the unique token. From that point, the connection between APNS and user's device is successfully established," said Pavel Serbajlo, PoweryBase's lead developer. "However, on a unofficially activated device, APNS keeps the application wait forever and does not provide any respond at all, keeping user wait infinitely or time out the connection, if the target application is capable of timing out."

woah...
that sucks!

does the unlocked refers to official or unofficial unlock?
or both?
if officially unlocked phones are also affected...
then it's really bad news!

I haven't had time to read the article (will do so after this) but from the article it seems as if it was referring to unofficially unlocked phones; if that being so, it shouldn't affect those officially unlocked ones, right?!

Ah well.. I sure hope so cause I'm just starting to enjoy the push notifications/alerts biggrin.gif

tink..
i hope so too!

but if it's still working on ur unit...
maybe the article is only for those unofficially unlocked units!
which means...i have nothing to worry about!

@xandman,
Er... I just read the article; and it doesn't say much except the 2 keywords I got was unofficially unlocked phone + unofficial providers. Thing is, I'm using an officially unlocked phone with the official provider so... *smiles*

Ah well.. I hope the problem wouldn't be a problem but the last part of the article did mention the iDev Team is working on a fix smile.gif

@xandman,
Eh.. I'm a bit blur - but Y are U posting this everywhere. I thought I just replied to this post of urs but muAHahhaahHAha I think it's on a different thread rclxub.gif

It's only for unofficial unlock phones using ultrasnow, not official unlock iPhones. We are safe.

DevTeam are working on a fix for it and also there's a patch made called PushFix via cydia. Some say it work and some say it doesn't.

Ya..not to worry. I was chatting with you with eBuddy & Agile Messenger with Push On. All messages came in even with the app closed.

So..no worries. Only those using Ultrasnow will have some trouble using Push Notification for now.

U sure the sim card problem ka? Show the celcom people the celcom3g simcard that u use for that 2 days la.
*
Today, i change my celcom 3g simcard for the 3rd time but this time at diff celcom branch (shah alam, before twice at kajang)...
so far so good... thank god
hope that it stays ok...

ask the celcom officer...
he said that they know bout some of their customer 3g simcard have problem with i3G...
he told me that celcom simcard not actually 'match' (whatever he means) with i3G...

So to other bros that have similar prob.... you might solve your prob by changing your simcard... smile.gif

Push notification eh?

Doesn't really impact me for now, but I'm sure it'll be sorted out. HOW do you tell if it's not working btw?
