Need for Speed Undercover is finally released!!
This game has unbelievable graphics, and its perfectly smooth & fast, compared to both Asphalt 4 & Ferrari Evolution.
In addition it has intuitive controls which you can get used to it in a very short time.
So far I havent encounter any severe problems after purchasing it this morning.
Guys get your hands on this game, its worth every single cent!

Anyone who has an iTunes account with credit card out there,
Do you know if you can limit an amount for purchasing when you key in your payment info?
So that I wont be losing all of my money from my account if someone borrowed my notebook and click and click on every app.

Anyone knows how?

if my memory hasn't failed me (yet), there is a feature which can be enabled where you need to enter your password each time a content is being purchased.
*
Yes there is.
However after the first purchase you don't need to enter the PW again within X hours.
That's why I was wondering if there's anything like limiting the amount to be spent on iTunes store.

I find my iPhone 1G very laggy actually, compared to the 2nd Gen iTouch.
Sigh, I just have a few games which only 1-2 of them have big file sizes.
I still have some Facebook, skype, dictionary apps.

300++ songs, 300+ photos and 2 movies.
How can my iPhone be so slow. -________-'''

Ishhh, especially Tap Tap Revenge 2,
which lags once in a while and screw my revenge mode while I was playing. Sigh.

oh. then there is nothing much that can be done actually.

but if it any consolation, you need a valid license to play your purchased contents.

hence if it feel that your account has been compromised, you can either change the password or bring this to the attention of the apple personnel

Thanks bro,
Guess that's all I can do to make my account safe.
Thanks ya.

Meaning everyone who jailbroke his 1G is facing the same issue?
Whoa can't have like 5-6 pages of apps and games then. Sigh.

QUOTE(frozzbyte @ May 11 2009, 01:35 AM)
Actually jailbreaking the phone won't slow it down, installing too many mobile substrate apps especially Winterboard will cause some lags to the system. Mobile Substrate add ons/apps will increase the memory usage thus slowing down the phone. Just now I did some experiments with 2 phones, 1 with Winterboard and 1 without. The result:

Without Winterboard
- Apps open within 2-3 secs
- Apps crash less

With Winterboard
- Apps open within 5-6 secs (more than 100% increase in time)
- Apps prone to crash (due to high usage of memory)

You can test it yourself if you have Winterboard and SBSettings installed. Run the phone in Safe Mode and you'll see the difference.

Yes, I kinda heard of this before.
What happens now is I dont even have any apps from Cydia, not even Cydia. LOL
I only have around 500MB of apps which are merely from App Store. Sigh!
After deleting Crash Kart I think my iPhone is faster. =)
Somehow my Tap Tap Revenge 2 still lags a lil.
Anyone can tell if Tap Tap Coldplay or Tap Tap Dance is worth buying,
compare to Tap Tap Revenge 2?

Much appreciated.

iTunes states that I have 470+ MB of apps
But I merely have 4 games and 8 apps which take up to almost 200MB
And, save games and settings can be as much as 200+ MB right?
I assume that the extra 250MB are slowing down my performance.

Do I need a restore?

Trust me - 4 Games and 8 apps.

That's all.

8 apps - around 60MB
4 games - around 150MB

How can it be 410MB right?

Sigh.

Heard that iPhone needs double to run the app.
I doubt that its true.

Added on May 12, 2009, 10:06 pmI used to have like 5 pages of apps and games but it turns out that it couldnt perform as smooth and fast as iTouch that's why I got rid of those which are rarely used.

Anyone can help?

if we r talking in terms of performance...it wud not heavily effect if u hv many apps...more or less is like tis..n tis is wat i tink...if thr is a different explanation... i'll be glad 2 hear...
we download an app, may it be 10mb or 100mb..it wud get stored in the phone..meaning it wud takie up x mb out of the 8/16gb...
our rom, is 128mb...tis is wat affects our performance...issues with lag, crash r all caused by rom overload...
in ur case, u hv arnd 200plus mb of app...tis is all stored in the phone n only take up the memory if u launch it...
so, u dun really hv 2 wurry abt da extra 200mb slowing ur phone down...
*
But its better to have less apps rather than more if you wish to have optimum performance right?
Hmm, I get what you mean.
Actually the main app issue is Tap Tap Revenge 2
which is an extremely FUN app but it often lags.
Plus I didnt even download like 30-40 songs.
Merely around 10 songs.

Anyone experiencing this issue on Tap Tap Revenge 2 ?

Good for you. But for people like us, we will have to wait as we jailbreak our phones. Cheers.

For those who are using the 1st gen iPhones,
which already have their basebands unlocked,
the likelihood for them to update to 3.0 directly from iTunes is very high,
provided if Apple doesnt change anything in 3.0.

Just like when 2.0 was out,
You only need to unlock it once,
and you are free to update to the rest of the later versions by just updating directly in iTunes.

Cheers.

Correction mate. For 2G iPhones, every firmware has to be unlock with tools from DevTeam or etc may it be 3.0, 3.0.1 , 3.1 etc as it has been since iPhone existed.

Your info is only applicable to 3G iPhones(Officailly Unlocked) whereby we 3G iPhone users can upgrade once Apple seeds the new firmware without having to wait for Devteam to come up with a tool.

Those who have jailbreak their 3G iPhones would probable wait till DevTeam provides the tool to jailbreak before they upgrade as many are accustom to 3rd party software.

I used to think this way before.
But I found out that I could straight away update in iTunes without using QuickPwn?
I merely used once which is on 2.1 if Im not mistaken.

But what I did in 2.2 and 2.2.1 is just a direct update in iTunes.
And of course I didnt lose any data, no need to restore from backup yade yade.

That's why.
I posted this earlier and a few told me that I just need to unlock the baseband once.
And I can just proceed to the next updates,
As long as Apple doesnt change the baseband.

Do correct me as I'm not sure.

As i recall back, upgrading from 2.2 to 2.2.1, you can upgrade with iTunes withut losing your data but not from 2.0 to 2.2.1.

The whole reason of using DevTeam tools is to be on the safe side rather than getting lock back and face with a emergency screen as Hanxz has experience it numerous of time after upgrading from iTunes. We have cases where 2G iPhones users get locked after a firmware upgrade from iTunes countless of time.

Anyway, am looking forward to 3.0 with all it's goodness.

Cheers

Hopefully 3.0 is really that promising as it does for now.

Because you restricted your app store under in your iPhone using parental controls?
Do check it and see.

God I can't believe maxis is one of the 27 carriers that support MMS for iPhone 3.0!!!
As well as tethering. Wuhu!!!
Maxis is finally better than AT&T tongue.gif

Another thing,
Can Maxis 3G support iPhone 3GS's 3G capability up to 7.6Mbps download speed?

Yes, iPhone 3GS will reach Malaysia in 1-2 weeks time after 26th of June.
Which is around 10th of July.
Hopefully the plan is cheaper.
Is it possible for us to trade in our iPhone 2G/3G for the iPhone 3GS?
I heard that Maxis wants our old iPhones for RM1200, full set.
Or the due date is before the launching date of iPhone 3GS?
Hmm...

For other tools will be released once the software update it out.

What about The 1st gen iPhone?! smile.gif

Stated that there are no changes in baseband,
Can 1st gen iPhone users just update through iTunes?

If it's 40sec it wouldn't appear in your ringtones tab.
