Hi, did they kill an option to just buy a sim card for 10rm and then purchase yearly validity for 35RM? I don't need a plan, just need a number that is valid for 365

Only difference is that the older plans such as Buddy or VIP call plans before EPIK is that their 365 days active subscription is cheaper at RM28 but their monthly data plan rates are WAY outdated and expensive than EPIK.
This is their way of forcing all old plan users to upgrade to EPIK for free. No big deal actually because EPIK data plans are mong the cheapest in the industry right now. Got free PA insurance as well. RM35 vs RM28 only RM7 more but EPIK monthly/weekly plans are much more cheaper and generous just in case you need to subscribe their data plans when needed. |

QUOTE(hestati @ Jul 3 2025, 03:22 AM) How do I get just the sim card and the validity? I really do not see this option, asks me to pick up a plan every single time. If your line is inactive, press +Top up, the "Subcribe to 1- year validity" button will appear at the right corner![]() This post has been edited by alpha: Jul 3 2025, 10:10 AM |

QUOTE(hestati @ Jul 3 2025, 10:37 PM) Thats doable, and actually easy with tt since they allow directly buying esim from their app. Basically download their app, request for new sim, choose esim, activate the esim by doing kyc with selfie ic picture and whatnot, buy 365 validity. You'll be paying rm20 since they forced to take a plan on new sim and epikcall rm20 is the cheapeast there, plus rm35 for 365 validity. This post has been edited by axxer: Jul 4 2025, 01:55 AM |

It is not cheaper than Buddies plan with RM28 365 Validity with no basic internet. I mainly use for calls and nothing else.
Read some time ago, wasn't Hotlink better than Epik+ ? I didn't read too much into it so maybe I recalled wrongly. QUOTE(jsnhoh @ Jul 14 2025, 02:30 PM) |

Hotlink pantas 365 is definitely cheaper than epik 365, rm30 vs rm35. In fact can get 15 months with pantas instead of just 12 months by reloading rm10 x 3 months to get 30 days each reload, then buy 365 with the accumulated rm30 at the end of the 3rd month.Read some time ago, wasn't Hotlink better than Epik+ ? Yea... with TuneTalk I do a 2x RM15 to get 40 days since RM15 = 20days. Then buy 365 Validity near expiry but got cut short due to this SMS upgrade crap.
TuneTalk needs a minimum RM5 iirc after deducting 365 Validity RM28. Is this the same from Hotlink Pantas ? Now searching if Epik+ have PPU and the rates or its Plan only. Nice ... very nice. And I guess Hotlink Pantas is like normal prepaid with PPU right ? As far as I know, only mobile@unifi is a plan only line... no PPU / Pay-Per-Use.
Too bad I did my top up with TuneTalk already... if not, I could have jump ship to Hotlink Pantas. To whom that has received the SMS, has your account been "downgraded" from Buddies to Epik+ ? QUOTE(axxer @ Jul 14 2025, 08:01 PM) This post has been edited by extercy: Jul 15 2025, 12:24 PM |

What nonsense are you spilling out ?
I am on 4G and PPU for TuneTalk. Calls, SMS and even Data is PPU. PPU = Pay-Per-Use meaning Credit is deducted based on Calls, SMS and Data usage. Only mobile@unifi is the only "special" telco I know that even if you have credit, you cannot make Call, SMS and use Data. You must subscribe to a plan to make Calls, SMS and use Data.
