I've got the Buddies Plan for years now. Every year I subscribe 365 days validity used to be able to use the free daily 1GB Productivity plan now cannot anymore.

Unfortunately it was good while lasted.

Free daily 1GB which can be used for hotspot without restrictions.

Free 150GB for 30Days for their EPIK50 Plan. Magic thing is all the data quota is fully hotspot-able!

EPIK+ Plans.

The data quota they advertised is full transparent no such thing as separated quota for phone/hotspot. All quota can be fully utilized even if you place sim in modem.

Not just that, the entire quota can be used for either 4G/4G+/5G depending on your device without separate pool.

No BS marketing as UNLIMITED but with hidden FUP nonsense.

If plan says 150GB, all 150GB can be utilized in any device. No such thing as can only use in phone, place in modem cannot detect or connect to network.
IF says 500GB, all 500Gb can be utilized in any way.

Simple and straight forward.

Fully uncapped with your plan's quota allocation. No restrictions on devices can be used in modems.

Quota can be either used with 4G+/5G still deducts from same pool.

Only warning is speedtest drains your quota very quickly, even on Celcom network testing with Celcom servers will also drain your quota.

Yes, can use in non modded modems without issues.

The entire quota can be used either for 4G+/5G with no speed throttling max speed attainable depending on your area's network congestion.

No device restrictions. Only the quota given you need to be aware, it drains fast though.

Just 2 speedtests will consume 1GB of data. Other operators if you do speedtest on own servers data won't be deducted but this Tune Talk even on Celcom network if you test on Celcom servers your data will also be deducted.

Also Celcom connectivity to Europe very lousy. Their SG links can get congested at peak hours because Celcom have very limited pipes to SG based IXs.

They do not have Telecom Italia's SEABONE as major upstream provider and rely a lot on Cogent bandwidth instead of Hurricane Electric.

No, it means loading Europe content and websites. Very slow transfer speed and suffer from very high ping value.

Celcom has no Telecom Italia peering or major upstream connection. It'll make European links real bad.

Need to pay RM2 to change plan now. Default starter pack comes with Hotlink Prepaid Unlimited plans. Shorter validity but comes with more quota and throttled speed.

Not worth it compared to Tunetalk plans pricing.

My 5G upload is over 50Mbps. Where got capped?

Celcom line at your place no good or the base station where you live is highly congested.

Latency very high that one I agree with you. Very lousy connection to SG, Japan and Europe.

Check your B28 signal it might be poor reception if you place your modem too far inside the house.

The upload is not capped. If you're getting slow upload only under 10mbps, it means either your phone is using older 5G chipset or B28 upload channel signal is weak.

It'll follow your talk time validity date given after your top up.

The data plan your purchase later will not be able to be used and internet will cut off when the validity ends earlier.

Only difference is that the older plans such as Buddy or VIP call plans before EPIK is that their 365 days active subscription is cheaper at RM28 but their monthly data plan rates are WAY outdated and expensive than EPIK.

This is their way of forcing all old plan users to upgrade to EPIK for free. No big deal actually because EPIK data plans are mong the cheapest in the industry right now. Got free PA insurance as well.

RM35 vs RM28 only RM7 more but EPIK monthly/weekly plans are much more cheaper and generous just in case you need to subscribe their data plans when needed.

No need minimum RM5 retention with EPIK 365Days plan. You can extend it for a year with RM0 credit after buying it.

Also EPIK plans now come with active extension with your purchased data plan.

The outdated Buddy and older previous plans their pricing have never been updated for years already.
You still want to pay VIP RM10 plan for just 2GB and no all network unlimited calls? Their pricing are highly outdated and uncompetitive now.Also they do not have active extension that follows your plan purchase.

RM35 vs RM28 more by just RM7 to retain your line for 1 year without topups. It is worth it because the EPIK+ data plans are way cheaper.

You still wanna pay RM10 for 1GB and unlimited calls to TuneTalk numbers only?

I actually don't mind paying RM7 extra to retain my line for another 1 year. In between I might want to subscribe those generous EPIK+ plans on demand if needed during festive seasons. They're 100% compatible with modems not just phones.

I use my TT50 in a modem which gives real good performance. But almost every month sure to burn 50-100GB of unused data upon auto-renewal.

250-300GB is just about nice for a single bachelor use.

If need more can try DiGi DataSIM 500GB with excess throttled to 3Mbps @RM65 or cheaper Yes Flexi RM59 for unlimited use.
