Anyone heard about Maybank Treat Fair at Sony Style on tomorrow and Sunday? Tho se who has Maybank Credit card and Maybank ATM card (the cherry one) entitled to get 10% discount of Alpha main unit. And 20% discount for accessories (lenses, flash etc.).

Is this the right time to buy at Sony Style? What say you?

Should I buy cheap uv filter for my SAL 50F18?

jz to protect the lense. Since going to uk in few days, afraid the temperature may cause moist on it.

cant spent much. Just got myself a F42.

Actually it looks pretty run down n horrible after so many years. N the presentation of the mee oso looks terrible. It's just a plate of black sauce mee with nothing else on it. Then it's accompanied by a big bowl of sui kau.  Looks lousy but tastes really good.  Last time, lunch time can hardly get to sit in there. Now, I dunno coz never been there at lunch time for many many years. laugh.gif
Yup I got the 55, 62, 77mm at exactly the prices u mentioned too. The 67mm is about rm130 IIRC. So many of those lovely filters sitting in my dry cabinet doing nothing. Must bring them out for clearance sale 1 day. Whole bunch of filters worth hundreds in there wasted coz now I'm using all 77mm filters only.

I want to book one 62mm filter from you uncle! hahaha... for my 16105... tongue.gif

i went shoot shoot today at midvalley
less than 100 shots continously with flash (fashion show), my f58am overheated
I was like huh... then I think a bit, the only difference this time I was using a chapalang stofen bounce (that square diffuser). Then.... ok... I removed it.

100 shots, no overheat
then 200 shots, no overheat
then another 200 shots, no overheat

lesson learn today, chapalang stofen can store at home!

kenv09: I think you should just leave the lens without filter as a cheap filter will affect the picture's outcome.

if u use the real stofen the same will happen.
Stofen will reduce your Flash power by 2-3x, it's stated on the manual i guess.
