guys,

as i know, we can trigger flash wirelessly and we can set the channel in flash gun .. so that the other wouldnt trigger our flash ..

i know how to change the channel on flash gun but how do i change the channel in camera? ..

i know how to change channel on flash .. do i need to change the channel on body? if yes, i am asking about changing the channel on body .. .

why i AWB with flash, the color is totally off .. white becomes bluish or greenish under normal white lamp .. .. if using flash gel the only way to overcome this problem? or i did a wrong settings? ..

if i am not mistaken, i have no problem with flash on my A300 with AWB last time .. any idea sifus?

@achew, I am using standard hood that comes with 1680CZ without a filter. is it cause the problem (vignetting)?

@albnok, yes, I understand that florescent lamp is not pure white. But last time with my A300 or my 40D and I set AWB with flash on. I am still getting almost accurate WB. but my A700 with flash on and AWB, it gives me totally off WB. I have no problem if AWB with flash off. . FYI, I am shooting with CZ1680 with no filter (just in case filter is the problem). btw, any recommended filter for 1680?

Do I need to change anything like ambient light from the camera menu, etc? I have not change anything since I bought it.

Yes, I was using AWB on wireless flash. Yes, the flash was direct to the subject from the right side, not bouncing. No filter paired/used with 1680CZ. I was using built-in flash to trigger the wireless flash.

FYI, I face same WB problem if I use built-in flash (without cobra) in AWB. I have no problem if the flash off.

flash serial number, is it printed on the body just below the sheet of model number under the flash head right?

i tried mine and contacted sony, they said my serial number is for DVD player .. not flash .. ..

oh, I got it. but still cannot register. I put HVLF58AM and HVL-F58AM but still the system didn't take it. Thanks alot albnok. I will contact SC and let them know about new serial number..

Albnok, once again million thanks for your helps. I finally manage to get all items registered with mysony and guess what, they all have 18 months warranty (instead of 15 months - 12+3 months if register online) ..

How much you get it bro? .. .. no vignetting issue because of the filter right? what a sad story to hear that ori hood comes with 1680CZ causes the vignetting .. ..

btw bro, bile free, bleh try shoot dengan flash ON with AWB? ... my picture produce weird WB la .. .. if no flash, no problem .. but with flash, a lot of problem .. ..

ade hood but it produces vignetting at the corners of pict .. .. according to achew, hood is the root cause..

albnok, thank you so much for your test .. I had no time last night to test again with AWB and flash .. I just back home since 7am I left yesterday... damn tired .. ..

btw, this is the picture i shoot on the same day as i shoot my friend (as posted earlier with WB issue) ..



if I am not mistaken, I was using f58 with AWB for this shoot and it looks good.. actually i shoot a few but this the best WB i can get .. the others are having WB issue .. I am penin d .. sometimes ok sometimes ko .. ..

hurmmm .. if i am not mistaken, there is something like setting up the flash in the menu .. i cant remember what it is (i cant check in camera menu because i am recharging the battery) but the options i have are "ambient" and "ambient & flash" .. anything to do with it?

ah, sorry to interrupt .. you guys were talking about grip sensor a few pages before. I have a question here, does bg for a700 has grip sensor?

how much is the cheapest bg i can get? uncle chin is selling it at rm950 for a700 ..
