Haha handling both gear at the same time is not easy!  tongue.gif

Speaking about CPL, I notice my cheap Hoya CPL tends to make my photos a tad softer. Apart from all the elimination of glare, deeper blues and greens, better looking clouds etc, basically the camera is shooting through an extra piece of glass, so I guess quality of the filter does matter a lot.

ahh noted on ur case.. then i think i better go for the better range CPL.. more bang for my money tongue.gif

countdracula: got one.. read it before somewhere.. the story was, the photog wanted to create the dreamy /soft look on the spot. so the photog took vaseline or oil to create the dreamy/soft look... then i think the filter of course throw la.. unless u can wipe it and reuse it for the same purpose la.. so just for the fun of it.. wanna try out for myself to see how the vaseline or the oil thing can create the dreamy/soft look, curiousness purpose.. kind alike a thing i must try just for the heck of trying.. hehe biggrin.gif

You won't regret the CPL, heheh. Shooting with my kit lens fitted with a cheap CPL, and saturating the colours thoroughly can produce lovely effects especially on the sky. Here's an example of a shot with my CPL attached. Shot was taken at a fishing pond.. (a nod to my Gear II, heheh)

BTW, the sky today is hazy.. i was thinking, if i go to places that has mountains and becomes so hazy.. it kills the pictures la.. other then using polarizing filter, photoshop cannot edit out the hazyness kan?

polarizing filter expensive ka?

is there any cheap UV filter like cheap as in RM20? wanna use it as a protector and also to create the "dreamy" look.. by putting vaseline or oil =P i reaallyy wanna try it after reading it out somewhere...

my advise: get a good one if u really want, else dont waste money in getting one.
main purpose of having a filter these days is to reduce glare, increase contrast and protect the glass...
LX3 a good cam man...seen the latest panasonic???? as cool as Ep-1

yes the lx3 is a good p&s. the new girlfriend1 (gf1) or olymp ep1 is very drool.gif hehe but i still like my a700 better wink.gif

Just to make sure u get the lamp I'm talking about. It's this 1.

The lamp comes with warm light tube. Very yellowish for taking pics. So if ur lazy to do PP like me, change the tubes to daylight so it's pure white light.

Anyone heard about Maybank Treat Fair at Sony Style on tomorrow and Sunday? Tho se who has Maybank Credit card and Maybank ATM card (the cherry one) entitled to get 10% discount of Alpha main unit. And 20% discount for accessories (lenses, flash etc.).

Is this the right time to buy at Sony Style? What say you?
