u don wan to buy from Singapore.. the price is much more expensive.. Cathay photo quote me $1650. with extra Battery, SONY BAG, Tripod and 8GB memory card.. $1650 = RM4050+..  I buy in JB, and add all the item to match the price, the price still not more than RM4k.

I believe the given CF card will be better than the one given by shop in Malaysia. Last time they give me 2x 4GB LEXAR Professional 300X UDMA when i bought the A200.
*
Ya I know cathay more expensive, but if cant find locally then no choice lor. The Lexar UDMA alone oso worth few hundred oredi lor. Ok mar the price if they give Lexar. 1 thing that's really cheap there is tripods though. I saw a carbon fiber tripod for only $250. I was so tempted to sapu but I hardly use tripod out of the house.

Edit: I forgot to mention an interesting story that happened yesterday while I was camera shopping. The Alpha Old timers here will know all about this infamous guy. His name is called JACK CHOW. laugh.gif U fellas remember that name. Fella cheated 1 of our bros here. While shopping for my new cam this fella was around when 1 of the salesman called out his name. Straight away I walked out of the shop. laugh.gif I whispered to my wife the story of JACK CHOW n we walked out of the shop while laughing. The salesman must be thinking we were a crazy couple or sumthin. Kakakaka

i'm using Sony 2700mAh rechargeables...  all bought same time..

having weird situation...

1st pair (4pcs) - doesnt work properly (long to charge, discharge too fast)

2nd pair (4pcs) - overheats alot...

3rd pair (4pcs) - perfect (500-600 shots or more)

basically, the performance is inconsistent..

My 2500mAh last me around 200 shots and always overheat my flash, is this normal? Is like after keep taking photos for 20-30 pics then display overheat...worry someday will spoil my flash sweat.gif

Added on September 6, 2009, 12:50 amJust found out that I often use bounce flash and iso 100, it make my flash always work on 1/1, after I experiment with 70 photos bounce flash, its overheating now...

Added on September 6, 2009, 1:14 amFound out that bounce flash uses more flash power, if I don't bounce the flash, I shoot 200 pics at a time no problem of overheating.

nope.. i don't think it will spoil your flash.. the "overheat" warning is like a fail-safe mechanism for cobra so that you can;t use the flash when it is overheat nod.gif

After i test flash for another 600 shots, its overheating now. Well, at least I convince that bounce flash uses more flash power and drain batteries faster. Time to get a flash diffuser, what kind of diffuser I should get if I take mainly portrait photography?

Use a lenspen lor. Make sure it's lenspen for sensor n not lens. It's called Lenspen Sensorklear

oki.. will purchase the lens pen for sensor.. =).. the cam was a 2nd hand cam.. previous owner switched between a 75-300 and the kit lens 18-70.. i only bought the kit lens + body from him.. so after it got to my hands, i never took the lens out.. no point.. no lens to change also hehe.. but sayang lar... alot of pics, i wanted a larger dof, the pics ended up having dust there. So i got abit frustrated at it and i bokeh-ed everything..

Gary Friedman hacked his F20 flash to become an IR trigger!

http://friedmanarchives.com/newsletters/ne...09-09/index.htm

wei_joice: If the Energizer is 2500 mAh then it's not a Low Self Discharge NiMH battery. I had those, they were pretty reliable (but of course, they would go nearly flat after a week.)

For paid events I always, always carry unopened alkaline AA batteries for backup.

lildaredevil906: Do not use the Sensorklear Lenspen until you have tried the blower and it didn't work. Most of the time, the blower will work, and is much, much safer.
