Well, new toys is always better to me. No hard getting a better piece of laptop compared to you last one isn't it. If you have the budget to get Studio XPS, I will suggest go ahead.

Ok, I will get it in a few weeks time. Thank you for your advise!

not much of a gamer... laugh.gif

but the games u play sure need a good GPU to run... Studio XPS 16 gets my vote for ur case...

No la, I'm not into FPS and have always prefered Final Fantasy RPG games but they seldom come to PC and we rarely get releases like that, so I stick with RTS and that's about the only thing I play these days. I dont mind if I dont have HIGH settings to play the game, I only play when I am waiting for my gf while she's doing her shopping or some other spare time.

Thanks for your advise!

No,not really will malfunction but it somehow give positive effect instead of negative. It's not a big issue bout uninstall CCC,depend on whether you want it running in your pc or not.

Hi guys ,

I'm having a little problem with my studio 1555 here....

Today,
I'd noticed that i get significantly lower fps without my ac adapter plugged in....
8fps without adapter (runnin just on battery) and
20-30fps running with ac adapter.

It's so strange...Anybody experienced this? cry.gif

Computer performance will lowered once u dont have ac adapter on it.. so it is NORMAL ~ dont worry... using ac adapter fr maximum performance smile.gif smile.gif

i tot so too..hmm.gif...well, usually for some laptop, while on Battery mode it will drop the performance to enhanced the battery life...you can get a longer battery life (about 15min +-) but the performance is dropped...nod.gif

once u remove the AC adapter, ATi PowerPlay will drop the clock to conserve battery, and Intel EIST would limit the multiplier of the CPU as well...

so it's definitely normal that the frame rate dropped...

stick to High Performance mode under power options of Vista if u want to maintain the performance... but u sacrifice battery time if u do that...
