QUOTE(infernoaswen @ Nov 30 2010, 12:52 AM) i think my hamster got mites....it keeps on scratching its body everytime i look at it.....i tried going through its fur to look if i can see any but cannot coz its keep on moving....but i did notice a red dot at the neck....is there any mites killer powder or something to apply? since we cant bath hamster so i we cant use any mites shampoo or anything like that....i tried giving it sand bath but he just dont like it....he even pee in it i guess syrian hamster dont like sand bath.... any suggestion? What is the red dot? Should you bring your hamster to a vets and checked it out? How can a caged animals that don't come contact with outside world get a mite? I think it may have a skin disease. Checked it at a vet. Its ok if he urinate in the sand. Just change it to new. Urine in sand also can cause skin itchiness to hamster. Don't leave the urine in sand too long. May be he got itchy when he go to this sand that's why don't like the sand any more!

Hi all,
I just wanna say that having hamsters are the best choices i ever made!! =D They make me so happy everyday!! =D Coming home after a whole day of research and seeing them sleep is so de-stressing..hahaha.. I cant play with my Robos so i normally spend a few minutes everyday playing and talking to my Syrian Bei Bei.. She is very cute and she likes to explore places and makes weird noises..hahaha.. One of my Robos bit my bf twice whereas my Syrian bit my friend twice too.. But they never bit me *touch wood*..hehehe.. Maybe they know im their mummy cause before i handle them i always let them smell my hand..hehe..guess they remember my smell.. =D Especially my Syrian cause she has super sharp and long teeth..omg..so scary..hahaha.. My bf dare not touch her as he's scared she might bite him cause he saw her yawn before and her teeth scared him liao..LOL.. XD He prefers my Robos..hahaha.. I just hope they can live a long and happy hammie life.. =)
