Are you a Malay ? Or any other Bumiputra with English surname ? If you fall into either category, you can open the account at any Maybank, CIMB Bank, RHB Bank, ASNB or Post Office branches. If you're a Bumiputra with Chinese surname, you'll be advised to open the account only at ASNB office.

in fact nothing special abt the ASG series, u need to pay the 5% service charge still, and I found that private mutual funds equity fund series perform better, if u already hv the pnb's fixed price fund why not u diversify ur investment in equity fund in private company? Some distributor like FSM and cimbclicks offer lower sales charge of around 2% only

About the diversification, its really in my mind.. But since AS1M was still available for the chinese, it would be my focus at the moment..

It could be almost time for me to invest via FSM, and CIMBClicks already.. EUnit Trust also will be one of my portal.. ^^

Who says AS1M is still available for the Chinese? The chinese quota for AS1m has all been sold out in ?? May 2010.

For Indians and Bumi.. their quota still available.

That's interesting! I must check up with the local Amanah Saham Branch Office here.. May be they have opened up the Bumi/Indian quote for all.

Anyone else got into AS1M lately?

chinese quota is rm3bil, as long as someone sold, u can buy, subject to the availability.....
If u know any agent bank staff, they can help to bank in for u.

Let's see if the dividend declared will be attractive enough for the invester to continue holding the AS1M fund! May be 1 or 2 % lesser than ASB?
