I think he can try checking the carb. Cause i remember last time one of the bros here had the same issue, and the root cause is : one of the screw in the carb is loose / missing.

wah mini VTEC!!

gas is 'fully released' but silent??

Its more silent than most of the performance pipe at high rpm full throttle. brows.gif
I'll do some detail write up and review once the pipe is officially launched. It's a promise smile.gif
For Penang kia, I have the pipe on my bike now, you guys wanna try out, js PM me.

I'm so puzzled. what r these cams u guys talking about ? Is it something that you need to modify the inner engine ? is it gear box or ??? sorry I'm really noob and I want to learn more.. can someone pls explain to me.. thx
*
it means camshaft.
see, there are 3 main things to change an engine powerband:

1) camshaft. it is at the cylinder head to control the valve opening and closing time.
2) cylinder head porting --> make your intake and exhaust bigger to allow more gas flow in and out.
3) exhaust pipe --> how to efficiently extract foul gas out of engine chamber.

1st one hard to find a street use one, most of the camshaft are stage 4 in Msia, which means low to mid end sux.
2nd one is easier, but we really need a pro who knows about cylinder head porting. a slight mistake and no turning back.
3rd one, hard to find a good one, which gives u power + pass JPJ roadblock.

I got only a rough review fr another tester. tongue.gif
I don't know if this is enough for you.
He told me, wif stock carburetor and air filter, can immediately boost top speed.

wah thx for the explaination. 1st n 2nd seems dangerous le to the engine part. 3rd one very interested... I'm really eager to see what kind of pipe is that, silent n look exactly like stock.. this is good deal to go pass JPJ n police. I've seen several NobiSSS on street pretty quiet but some ppl said very hard to find. My work place near komtar.. hehe.. if u happen to go there, maybe can pm me.. then it would be great to have a life prebiu

I js asked him. It's about 10 - 20kph from your current top, depends on your engine condition.

haha, its almost the same as NOB1 SSS level. 90% chances pass roadblock. So far I kena once la, bcoz the police was very detail.

ok guys, here's a detail review on powerband feel from my 100km trip.

I'll set a 'benchmark' using standard pipe, full throttle with 3rd gear.

This is how it feels:
30kph to 80kph is responsive
80kph to 90kph okok,
90kph to 110kph is slow,
110kph to 120 takes years!! tongue.gif

So the scale is like this (3rd gear full throttle):
30...40...50...60...70...80....90.....100.....110.......120

Now I compare with the 3 aftermarket pipes that I've tried. They are AHM, NOB1 SSS and this CUSTOM pipe

CRUISING MODE (3rd gear 30kph -> 70kph)
STD: 30...40...50...60...70
AHM: 30.....40.....50....60....70
NOB: 30..40..50..60..70
CUS: 30...40...50...60..70

AHM sux big time at low rpm.
NOB1 SSS is the winner.
the CUSTOM pipe is abt the same as standard pipe at low rpm.

PICKUP MODE (3rd gear 50kph -> 90kph)
STD: 50...60...70...80....90
AHM: 50....60....70...80...90
NOB: 50..60..70..80...90
CUS: 50...60..70..80..90

AHM sux big time again at mid-low, going faster at mid-high.
NOB1 SSS is the winner. (Yea, I really like NOB1 pipe, if not won't use for 2 years)
CUSTOM pipe is a slightly slower at mid-low rpm, but overall its abt same.

DRAG/RACE MODE (3rd gear 70kph -> 120kph)
STD: 70...80....90.....100.....110.......120
AHM: 70...80...90...100..110..120
NOB: 70..80...90...100.....110.....120
CUS: 70..80..90..100...110...120

This is where AHM shines - high rpm! Rempit likes this pipe tongue.gif
NOB1 SSS is going slow from 100kph onwards, feels like standard pipe.
CUSTOM pipe is a tad slower at super high rpm, but overall it is almost similar with AHM.

SUMMARY
To me, with a 160cc engine, the power for cruising is much more than enough. What I want is a good pickup power when overtaking, and drag with some a$$hole who likes to bully me when I have the GIVI box installed. tongue.gif

For 135cc stock engine.
If you don't mind losing a bit of power at very low rpm,
and wanted some extra power when doing pickup or drag,
this CUSTOM pipe is real good.
