You can try my ex-schoolmate, Dr Chang Chew Ming in Pantai Bangsar.
Usually has a clinic in the morning and operates afternoons.

He was also attached to Assunta on certain days, but I am not sure
of his schedule now.

Dr Tan Lye Suan, lady doctor, on the second floor of the same medical
center is also not bad.

I just visited Dr Chang this afternoon in Pantai Bangsar. Made a phone call to check and made sure he was in before I went over.
He is a good listener and very good patience.

Total bill was RM180 for consultation + meds.

Good to know you visited Dr Chang.

I hope his treatment will improve your condition soon.

I noticed you stay/work at Solaris. I work in Sri Hartamas.

hi cedriccheah,

mind to share what were your problem before the surgery and does the surgery helps? what kind of surgery is that? i mean how was the surgery performed? is it painful during n after the surgery? how long it took u to recover? sorry to ask too many questions. had an operation 18yrs back due to my sinus problem and am still freak out thinking abt it. damn painful. sinus got better but came back few years later n now it's killing me. no flu or anything just feels really dry inside the nose and painful and causes sore throat. and this happens only at night.

is this doc ok? how old is he? experienced doc? how much did u pay for the surgery?

hope to hear from you asap..

thanks.

Hi, not sure is my personal body problem, my sinus issues came back after 2-3 months.
Currently condition just like never did the surgery before...

I did this surgery twice.
1st time Normal FESS, after 1 month sinus problem came back
went for CT scan again, found a lot scar tissues building up, so he suggested for another round of surgery to remove scar tissues
did 2nd times, after 1 month still having same issue.
then he just gave me some antibiotic everytime i see him and he wanna suggest for Balloon Sinuplasty which cost 12K+ which i rejected and never go back again.

1st - RM8K+
2nd - RM6K+

all covered by corporate insurance.

So now i still looking for other solution....

any one have any suggestion?
I dont mind go for chinese medicines...as long can cure sinus problem.

One of my client was diagnosed with mine re (ear imbalance) and causes vertigo once in a while. She consulted Dr Raymond at Lam Wah Yee Penang Hospital. She only needs to take the medication whenever she has vertigo. However Dr Raymond had left for another hospital, if not mistaken Adventist.

Since her condition is mild, her application for a medical card (after 3 months) was approved with condition. Deafness or treatment for ear imbalance will be decline as it falls under pre-existing illness.

This doctor is very lan si. I brought my mum to visit him around 2 weeks ago to do check up, after everything he said my mum should take antibiotic and blah blah blah, then i asked him if there is anything that can substitute the antibiotic, you all know what he replied? He said, you go invent la, if success then we all change, then i'll be billionaire, I was so f***ing angry. We are not doctor, sure will ask some stupid question, and I don't think that is a stupid question as well. As a professional, but I've no idea why he talked like gangster. His impression for me from 100% dropped to 10%, even though he is an expert in ENT.

DR Koay Cheng Boon, I think you should go back to school to learn how to talk. some more you're are a doctor. F***, if we all know the answer, you won't be there already.

I agree with you too. About 2 hours I was there to take my mum for a check up. While he was checking my mum, he enquired about my thyroid and i told him that i saw another Dr and nevertheless was it ok for him to check me after my mum. For that he gave me a long and serious lecture on being considerate about people. He asked "would you like if others make you wait for so long?" "Why is it that you are not considerate?" Then he repeatedly asked me nearly 4 times - "are you considerate? " and I got really irritated. I then told him, if you are considerate, you would not make all patients wait for so long! He operates from 8.45am - 1.15pm and in that 4 1/2 hours he sees 25 patients - and each person waits about 30 mins - 1 hour! My appointment was at 12.20pm, I was there by 11.45am and waited till 1.15pm before I was attended to!

Gov specialists are good you know but, I DO NOT GO to Government hospitals because I HATE WAITING, but here, I was waiting for 1 hour and pay much more! And on top of that lectured unncessarily! I will never go back to him anymore.

I'm also looking for ENT specialist in Penang.

Do you know which ENT doctor in Penang is good and hopefully friendly? Adventist is good?

I think I'm having fungus infection in my ear and now causing ear imbalance from time to time. I have earache too especially after talking on the phone.

Getting old already.... sad.gif
