wonder if anyone knows good ent specialist and had done treatment for vertigo?

One of my client was diagnosed with mine re (ear imbalance) and causes vertigo once in a while. She consulted Dr Raymond at Lam Wah Yee Penang Hospital. She only needs to take the medication whenever she has vertigo. However Dr Raymond had left for another hospital, if not mistaken Adventist.

Since her condition is mild, her application for a medical card (after 3 months) was approved with condition. Deafness or treatment for ear imbalance will be decline as it falls under pre-existing illness.

I agree with you too. About 2 hours I was there to take my mum for a check up. While he was checking my mum, he enquired about my thyroid and i told him that i saw another Dr and nevertheless was it ok for him to check me after my mum. For that he gave me a long and serious lecture on being considerate about people. He asked "would you like if others make you wait for so long?" "Why is it that you are not considerate?" Then he repeatedly asked me nearly 4 times - "are you considerate? " and I got really irritated. I then told him, if you are considerate, you would not make all patients wait for so long! He operates from 8.45am - 1.15pm and in that 4 1/2 hours he sees 25 patients - and each person waits about 30 mins - 1 hour! My appointment was at 12.20pm, I was there by 11.45am and waited till 1.15pm before I was attended to!

Gov specialists are good you know but, I DO NOT GO to Government hospitals because I HATE WAITING, but here, I was waiting for 1 hour and pay much more! And on top of that lectured unncessarily! I will never go back to him anymore.

Thanks for the info, I'd be worried if I got any clients to refer.

I'm also looking for ENT specialist in Penang.

Do you know which ENT doctor in Penang is good and hopefully friendly? Adventist is good?

I think I'm having fungus infection in my ear and now causing ear imbalance from time to time. I have earache too especially after talking on the phone.

Getting old already.... sad.gif

You can have a second opinion at Island Hospital Dr Lee Guan Teik (ENT).

Generally most of the specialists hospitals are (pretty expensive).

Out of the many specialists hospital in Penang, Lam Wah is the most affordable as they're non-profit. The ENT Doctors are (is from their website).

Ear, Nose and Throat Surgeons :
Dr Ng Hee Hua (MBBS, FRCS, MS ENT)
Dr Gopalan Nair (AM, MD, MS ORL-HNS)

Note: This is generally covered under you medical card provided that your medical card has surpassed the 4 months waiting period for "specified illness" and that it does not fall under "pre-existing condition".

To be sure, please get in touch with your insurance agent.
