QUOTE(radiant @ Dec 10 2009, 01:22 AM) Mine arrived at Subang for custom clearance rather than straight to Penang. It seems like Apple has realized that there will be clearance delay if send to Penang. QUOTE(lilko @ Jul 21 2009, 12:17 AM) The normal 13 inches macbook with only 2GB isit good enuff to run photoshop for art purposes without lagging? if play game(some normal rpgs) ok ma? For the game part, I test it out for you.And do you need to keep servicing it? Can it last for at least 3 years or more? So far, I created a Win XP via BootCamp purely for gaming purposes only. Since my MB White is quite new, I have tried out Serious Sam 2 and Heroes of the Might and Magic V...the graphics work superb. Later, I would want to try other games like:- 1. Doom 3 2. DotA 4. Command and Conquer - Red Alert 3 I did some read up on the graphics card, I believe my MB White graphic card (9400m) is just an average one, so certain games should work fine. Boosting the RAM up to 4gb should help with burden I think. By the way, when I'm playing 3D games such as HOMM5, my Mac seems to heat up a LOT...where the heat sensation is pretty noticeable on the keyboard, and this has never happen when I'm in Mac OS X. I tend to have this perception that when I do gaming on XP, hardware acceleration did took place, thus the heat. -- tze yuan |

i agree with cRazYee...of all brands i think HP has the worse trackpad surface
DotA can run fine. Doom 3 i managed to run at ultra quality in parallels desktop 3 before on my previous MBP (with radeon x1600...i think abt the same performance as the 9400m or slightly faster) so no problem at all in bootcamp red alert 3 is playable but have to tone down the graphics a bit |

Thanks! You've got a point there, but for class, portability really means a lot. The sleekness is just like the icing on the cake

Just bought a new MBP, 15" yesterday (10 Dec 09) at Machines in 1U. I just check and the os is OS X 10.5.8 , not snow leopard as i'd expect.
Shouldn't I be getting Snow Leopard instead ? |

I wanted to get a black Speck SeeThru satin casing too but Switch only had 1, and that one had a corner ripped. So.. I just bought a cheaper sleeve that has more pockets. That way, I can put more stuff

When I bought the Speck, they have 3 colors, red, yellow and purple. Didn't see any black color. It also has the Speck hard shell type but I like the soft touch finishing so bought the Satin.
Anyone know whether if using Speck SeeThru, can I still put on Moshi palm guard? Thinking of getting palm guard as well. This post has been edited by chewlf: Dec 10 2009, 11:17 PM |
