sorry im noob here how to check the laptop temperature when using the laptop???

you can use SpeedFan, HWMonitor, Everest..

BTW you will not be able to check the gc temperature
no thermal sensor on the 4570..

but everest stated the GPU diode temp... isnt that GPU temp???

thanks for this update. asus came a little too late since i already installed vista. sigh.

u can remove the authorization settings to remove the annoying notifications when installing programs, etc.
about sharper movie image, XP and Vista looks the same to me.

yes, this is GPU (HD4570) temp. goes up high if I game on it. and even the internal GPU (HD3200) has temp sensor.

yup.. using everest too, can detect gpu temp

How good/bad is this G102m GPU, and comparing the processor with this AMD 2.1GHZ processor, any comments?

Cause I know the Intel one won't have heat issues. Prefer to get something that won't overheat without any adjustment

i have tried gaming with G102+ intel proc. SF4 at lowest reso+ almost lowest setting WITHOUT background somemore only get 45-50fps which is not enough.

this lappy doesnt have heat issue, please refer to the early post on this thread before making any conclusion

I hope someone can enlighten me with some of the problem when i want to install win XP in this laptop.

Initially i installed window 7(from the first day i bought this laptop). Then i guess i wanna to try out xp for testing purpose. The problem is whenever the system reboot after XP (after format and file copy phase) it will show up "cannot found any operating system". Well I tried install XP by using USB and CD/DVD but still the problem arise.

The bios setting has been changed to "native IDE"

i'm just getting myself a K50AB on last sunday
bought it for RM2000 (k50ab + 7 free gifts,can't remember exactly how much) at Evernew, Digital Mall, PJ
2Gb ram + hdd 250Gb,CD driver for winXP provided by them

come with 2-year warranty from ASUS. if want additional 1-year by Evernew, need to topup RM138

at the 1st time, try to install vista ultimate, but seems like the loading time was very very long and i'm not familiar wif vista GUI
+ i install/remove/changing vga/sound drivers until the k50ab got (errors occured here n there) like hell

at last,i gave up,format the k50ab and install winXP sp3
now i'm very happy wif it, loading time is much faster and easier to be used than vista ultimate

but the pblm now are, my webcam record my image terbalik (myb i need to refer to previous pages for the solution but not a big deal at all)

previously, the sound seems randomly missing (esp when i try to play videos at youtube.com), but now is getting better n louder need to get used with the keyboard since i always accidently press button backspace + num lock serentak

1 questions, izzit the temp is normal during idle? or abit higher?

when idle is 45 and 50.

without aircond. mind comparing wit this model? cuz my friend bought this. but hes not here.

btw we using Windows 7.

and use k10stat to undervolt... it helps alot.. for me.. when idle in a normal room without any cooling fan.. its 57 degrees while on full gaming.. it shoots up to 71 degrees oni.. and u wont feel much the heat.. its all concentrated on the top right corner which u wont touch at all...

and a question here.. anyone tried GTA 4 without lag here??

try to play Rainbow Six: Las Vegas,Stalker,Bioshock,C&C 3 & RA 3 with full & high spec option,running the game at ease.

actually i dont mind the temperature becuz cant even feel it. only can feel the hard drive heat. on my left hand palm.(Asus F81Se). the K40AB and k50ab got cool palm rest rite.

My wife loves the laptop. the keyboard is very nice to type. But because i dont use it, the only thing i always come around when she is using it is the LED screens are so much nicer to look at compared to my other laptops.....
