btw guys, need a bit of help. using extreem's screenshots i've managed to set up my 9150e at 2.5GHz, now i'm lowering the cpu voltage to find the lowest stable (complete opposite of usual exploration overclocking ) since i'm fine at FSB 280. my problem is my RAMs, they're rated for 1066, but i'm having trouble getting past post when i change the divider from 533 (3:4) to anything higher. even 667 (3:5) won't get past post, which i cant understand. pumped the ram voltage to 2.2 didn't help either. any ideas?

the ram i know my limit edi..only suits the 1066 and 800 and 400..the others is not suitable.so i think i go for 800 since wan to play with htt
proc also know my limit.. below 1.4..dont wan to push more... (but the setting cant set at =1.4...it will be 1.392 and after that 1.408)
so now only stable nb and ht freq only.. these 2 affect superpi score?
i just wan a stable nb freq..too low and too high not so good..and im not running the oc for 24/7..just for find the max..

imo, either chipset or chip doesn't like ddr667 divider when htt > 230ish. mine can boot but w/ cmos cleared...

try to find out d max freq ya ram can do, then use ddr800 divider. if ya ram is good then u mite able to reach 280htt which is as ya wish. mine max out near 270htt & i'm on lousy twinmos value ram.

alrighty, i'll give it a shot and see how it goes. i've reset the cmos so many times that all the settings i could probably do with my eyes closed now my ram is hyperx, which i think should be the elpida chips since i only got the stuff around 2-3weeks ago.

hmm... i had my hands on oem ram w/ elpida 6e-e chippies b4, only managed a 950MHz @ 5-5-5-x. gud luck in ya attempts then...

yup, at first i thought biostar board issue, then end up dfi (be it 790gx or 790fxb) oso d same... it's hard when one doesn't has a chip w/ unlocked multi...

just notice my proc idling at 25c
i think its sensors issue..
but now im priming..then i touch tip of my finger at a proc..that not being covered by the cooler base, and its cool...
priming showing 38c..shud i trust it? prime at stock...demm.. now i just notice my temp sensor phailed

thanks for the tip ah_khoo, i set the divider to 800 and its doing well, had to lower my fsb a bit though, which sucks. lost about 70MHz, due to my ram's limitations i guess.

current overclock would be:
FSB = 272MHz
HT Multi = 7x (1400MHz)
NB Multi = 7x
CPU = 2448MHz
RAM = 1088 (5-5-5-18)

havent primed it yet, but i'll probably do so tonight after i test how low the voltages can go

for the proc i'm using?
the max i did was with fsb 280, which was 2520MHz. i believe extreem managed to get 2610MHz by using fsb 290.

so it maxed at that htt? at what vcore?
i wonder if we treat the energy saver phenom just like another phenom...vcore >1.3v...what shud happen then...

I think it is quite normal as Phenom II proc are quite cool. My proc idles at around 27C.

oic..since my fren proc idles at 36c..cloudwan's also..
u using what board?

just notice..same board..27 is below room temp..its water temp i guess...
so is there any issue with our board?

I'm just using air cooling CM Hyper TX-2 lol.

My overclock is just mild OC, 3.2GHz, with just 0.025vcore increase for better stability.

I don't think it's any issue with our board, for me it's quite normal. When stressed it will go up to 41-43C.
