not so sure bout older 790gx boards from biostar but 790gxe has an imc volt that max out @ 1.25v only...

Kunta..you need to tweak your Ram and NB edy..It is them that are causing it to unstable..try tweaking it

haish...thats hard..since i cant find the option to change the volt..
anyway..in bios what is the name for it?
nb-vid?
cpu-nb volt?
the mobo nb volt yes..i can change...

ram is maxed out at 1016mhz using 800 divider...at 5-5-5 timing @1.9vdimm.. even i pump 2.1v doesnt help..
so far the nb-freq i can get stable at 277X.XXmhz... but to gain the 3.8 i lower it down..

what is the most stable nb-freq and ht combination? anyone knows?

i belive it is the mobo NB right? but i can set at 1.20/1.30 and so on... running at 1.30v since using htt alot...

i think that's referrin to nb voltage bro, which doesn't help much if nb freq is to be oc'ed, what matters most is d cpu-nb vid a.k.a imc volt. i mite be wrong thou...

as mentioned by bro digs, all are under t-series page, try out those available & verify 'em usin biostar hw monitor. u can even use d oc software by biostar to save u some times on rebootin.

optimal setting (for 24/7) for ht link & nb freq is around 2100MHz, with ht link multi 1x lower or equal to nb multi.

still didnt see HT n NB volt?the option shuld be there..

here.. done early in the morning..starts oc at 6 and end up to this setting at 10.30am

nb freq = nb multi * htt.

790gxe is a great board, d only compartment where it's inferior to dfi is ram tweakin capability, but we are talkin bout 790gx vs 790fx here. budget wise dfi is alot more expensive, so go figures...

NB Freq = HTT X NB Multiplier..
HT Link try make it lower..and so NB Freq..maybe around 1500..Since this for testing purpose only..And for the RAM..try lowering the divider..For now u are finding CPU stability 1st.once done..then only tweak others.

Btw, what's the main advantages of 790GXE and 790GX 128M?

pros:

1. an additional phase pwm @ cpu
2. an additional phase pwm @ memory
3. chokes are of better quality
4. green power utility (active phase switchin like msi i supposed) for better power efficiency
5. more clockable (my own opinion only)

con:

1. limited bios for core(s) unlockin (still new)
