Let's say for the iValue 1 which is at RM100 monthly and comes with free 333 minutes of local calls, I will be charged for my calls after I used up 333 minutes right? So this isn't like those commitment plans?
If I were to have a supplementary line under the iValue 1, what plan would the supplementary line be on? |

QUOTE(yongkailoon @ Jul 22 2009, 11:12 PM) Let's say for the iValue 1 which is at RM100 monthly and comes with free 333 minutes of local calls, I will be charged for my calls after I used up 333 minutes right? So this isn't like those commitment plans? The talk time is basically RM50 / 0.15s = 333 minutes. Anything more, you'll pay the standard RM0.15 per minute.If I were to have a supplementary line under the iValue 1, what plan would the supplementary line be on? I don't think you can have a supp. line for the iValue plans (for new Maxis users). As what the SA told me, there isn't no friends and family etc.. For those existing, I think they'll stick to their old plans. So there isn't any free talk time between the iPhone user and their supps.. Correct me if I'm wrong. it'd be logic that... if u're taking any of the iValue plans.. it means u're converting from your existing plan to new one.. the rates and benefits might be changed..

PS: if you're not confident with doing the booking process, you can always go to the Maxis centre itself and ask them to guide you through. i'd recommend you to do that. That way, you can also one shot pay your deposit and collect it from there on collection day. This post has been edited by jackhammer84: Jul 23 2009, 01:00 AM |

@LaiN87,
Unfortunately not all of us qualify for Hotlink Youth. I know I certainly don't ! @fr33dom, By doing that upgrade, U will NO longer be able to enjoy Family Plus benefits yah? Just please take note. @Andrewhajime & sysh, With regards to upgrade/downgrade of plans "Policy-wise it is not clearly spelled out, so some people may not do it. For those who will do it, by terminating the service (idata 2) to assign a new one (idata 3) will trigger the penalty to kick-in, which will require a waiver which will require approval." I hope the above answers all questions about upgrading and downgrading This post has been edited by tinkerbel: Jul 23 2009, 10:49 AM |

I've found some of member did ask for rate plan .
Here is what as i talked to maxis centre , Hope this will answer some of the Q . Currently im using the Family Value Plan Rm50/month . and i asked them the different about all ivalue package if i use iphone 3gs , and all the answers is heart breaking , ( higher monthly payment is one of the reason ) and finally i come out with idea to activate "unlimited data package " at anytime i want , and the operator it is much better than the ivalue package IF , u make calls and sms a lot . ( which i do ... ) the reason is the unlimited data package charges is pro-rate basis . Eg. your billing date is 1st day of the month . and if you activate on 15hb previous month , the charge will be ( RM99 / 30 days) x 15 days of usage , so they only charge you Rm44++ , and this is what i notice in my previous bill . im not a phone-net heavy user and im not sure about the limit of data usage .. but they never overcharge me , but again , i tap my phone to my lappy for surfing , so the data should be a LOT isn't it ..? Just my 2 cents .. Other opinion are welcome . . |

What do I need to do when I wanted to send in my phone to Maxis for warranty? - To claim warranty you need the person who bought the iPhone which is under his/her name to be present. Requires I/C (of original owner) and warranty card. izzit MUST /REQUIRED original owner IC ?? tats mean if i buy from other ppl with maxis warranty card oso useless bcos cannot claim cos of i don hav original owner IC ??? |

Hi guys,
I wanna get a iphone 3gs 32gb. I've been reading all the posts and I'm still unsure what rate plan to choose! I currently have a subline and my bill is around rm50 per month, more if I go overseas. Also my subline is from my excolleague who I haven't seen for about 3 years and I don't know his ic number! To make it more complicate I am a foreigner so will have to a pay much higher deposit! I wanna keep my current number but don't really want to contact my excolleague if I can help it. Any ideas? Thanks |

@tdled,
You're going to need to contact your ex colleague if U want to get a discount off the phone price. Assuming U want everything else to maintain (and not contact your ex colleague), U could perhaps buy the phone outright with the prepaid plan. Even then, should U decide to subscribe to the data packages offered by Maxis (RM5/8/99) U'll need to get ur ex colleague to open the line for u, right? Or have U oredi been authorised to make amendments or changes to this line? |
