Btw, anyone know how many iPhones I can purchase with my postpaid line? The last time I asked, a Maxis customer service representative said that I could purchase 2 iPhones with 1 line. He might have got it wrong, so that's why I'm asking.

waited for 6 months for Apple to announce the i4 but then have to wait another 2-3 months for i4 officially come to Malaysia

my friend, he works for Maxis..i'm not counting on it too, but if its true, me want to camp outside KLCC lah

hopefully maxis will sell iPhone 4 contract free unit.

He said that the stuff coming from US but US is locked from telco version. i even post in Q/A in his thread and he mark up the price ridiculously with saying that it can be unlock, maybe he think that software unlock will be available as soon as the iOS4 released( actually i also hope software unlock for iphone 3G released for iOS4)

Dang, if its really in july i dont mind camping either mate. But i hopelah maxis has extra units just in case we get defective ones, from my experience last year customers have to wait almost one month of iphone replacement, its best you guys bring your laptop with a 3g modem to test it out on the spot, make sure any scratches around the 30pin, the headphone jack, the top mic and around the bezel because if you tka puas hati satriaght away RMA claim.

will check all that listed above hais, just like my friend..bought 3GS 2 weeks ago.. that time very panas terik, went in his car heard popping sound, his screen got crack snet back to maxis, have to wait for 3 weeks coz they send the unit back to SG for warranty pity him

wah sad case lah, never ever leave the phone in the car, your windscreen might get broken and not only that your iphone ambient sensors and your proximity sensors might spoil because of the searing heat. Ok heres a list of things to look out for:

1. yellow screen
2. dead pixels
3. loose buttons
4. speaker issues
5. dust in screen
6. scratches or hairline crack around the 30pin connector, the mute button, volume button, the three seams, top headphone jack, top mic.

depends if maxis has any replacement units available or not lah, most of the times like any mac computer or products part come from SG and also depends on the SG side if they have the part or not.

Does maxis have any program where once you exceed your monthly call limit or 3g limit they can cancel your outgoing calls for remainder of the month so you wont have to overpay???

No, from what I know of Maxis have implemented a max of RM250 for data that you will need to pay more on top of the data bundle (correct me if I'm wrong). In short, if you don't be careful you will overpay.
Data and voice doesn't share the same system so they won't bundle it up together by watching each other backs. So highly possible you might burst one of the other or both

my last white 3g iphone got those hairlines crack, even without once keeping inside a car under hot sun... however, managed to get Maxis to replace new one.

my existing white 3gs starts the symptoms, but not so bad as my sister's white iphone, same problem.

May ask her to get replacement since no more long waiting weeks like before
