hey...can i just buy the iphone 3gs without getting the maxis contract?..i stick to my digi is better..how much will be the price of the 32gb and 16gb without contract...and can it be monthly installment for 24 months?

Presently you can at Maxis. But it is only for the 32gb as that is the only model available. Or, you can get it from 'outside' resellers but do be careful and ensure you get an original officially unlocked unit, even if it is from Singapore. Good luck.

i did updated my last statement.. the 2nd operator called up to me and clarify it... no matter what, maxis will calculated in this way:
commitment+total usage-discount = total bill

oh ya.. now only i realised maxis only discount 7.90 for my SMS, suppose is rm10 no matter wat... thanks bro!

I did call them up to ask and reclarify. odd thing is, they told me that even though there are unused SMS, regardless of how much your total statement amounts to, there won't be a discount or carry forward. do help us clarify what is the 'discount' they are talking about.

well if your not the privilage customer for the outright purchase then i you cant....normally one line is one iphone because you are in a contract...till you settle the contract timing like after a year or two then you can purchase another contract through you phone line...in other way in one phone line only one contract.

yup.. one contract only with 1 iphone.. but nowadays u can buy 3gs 32gb with outright purchase ma.. then u sign up 1 for 16gb 1 direct purchase in maxis lo.. then mai got 2 iphone lo

yup..you can do that for 32gb and 16gb...but if you want bot 16gb..then you cant....

If you had asked this last week, the answer would be a resounding yes but it was also only at selecetd centres. But as at today, it would be wise to confirm first before you head to any of them as the stock could have been depleted.

I found the same on the Maxis operators...each of them told me different things and some are as blur as sotong....dont even know their plans and keep putting me on hold....Pls la...be more professional and know your products.....Thats how we sometimes we feel that we got conned by them as they dont even know whether they have advised us correctly....Need to read the terms and conditions carefully....

As long as Maxis centre can already....don't mistaken those dealer check the website for the locations of it before going

alright, juz called maxis to re-clarify. For iValue plan, call charge and data charge calculation are separately(let say iValue1) each of these giving RM50 rebate. So if ur domestic call charge is RM60, they will deduct RM50 meaning u got additional pay RM10 call charge. Same goes to data usage, if u use less then 500MB, they will deduct RM50 for data so it will be Zero. But bear in mind, maxis is charge: Commitment fee+usage - discount = total bill... so in this case above you have to pay RM110 plus some services charges

So for the SMS rebates, for iValue 1 maxis offer 100 SMS juz for maxis to maxis sms only per month. So if u spend 30 sms to maxis and remaining to other local operator services, in the end maxis only rebate the free sms just for that 30 sms, meaning u can only see u got deducted RM3.00 for sms rebate only in your bill (iValue 1)

Alright.. hopefully this call free out your mind.... although i feel that the plan is vr expensive. hopefully maxis can come up more interesting plan next time and also improve their customer service
