I think the iData 2 (RM50 for 500MB/month) is more worthy.
Taking the example of 16GB 3GS, the RRP is RM2490.
With the contract of 12 months: 12 x RM50 = RM600.
With such contract you get a rebate of RM400.
In total after 12months your iPhone 3GS (16GB) = 2490-400+600 = RM2690.

You only pay additional RM200 in comparison with the Hotlink plan (without contract) but you get to enjoy 500MB of data plan every month for the next 12 months.

This calculation is without any other plans, which means your "Value Plus Plan" is not calculated. It is only basically the price of the iPhone.
It is calculated this way as it makes no sense cause either way you would have one of the plan from maxis be it a Value Plus50 or Value Plus80.

@Superman7,
Er.. I haven't checked your calculations but if it is right, then the Hotlink plans are more worth it because:-

1) You pay RM200 less (U said "You only pay additional RM200 in comparison with the Hotlink plan")
2) The Hotlink plans come with 500MB of FOC data usage.

Correct, but there is a little clause saying that you have to maintain your hotlink account in order to receive the free 500MB/month.
And if you're like me with the existing Maxis plan, you will not need an additional hotlink number right?

hotlink 365 only need to pay rm33 + rm30 in 1st 6month to keep ur line active for 1year... so u only need rm63 + rm8.80 to enjoy 500mb for 12 months provided u seldom use ur hotlink to make calls  brows.gif

There is one problem though.. if you're on a postpaid line, you will need to downgrade yourself to hotlink to be able to enjoy the free 500MB data/month cause the free 500MB data is definitely only for the hotlink SIM.

If i did not tick the "get new number" option, what will happen?
Am i still able to pay the deposit and collect the phone on collection day (booked at Machines instead of Maxis centre)?

or

Should i just ignore the previous booking and go to a Maxis centre to make a deposit directly (with a new prepaid number purchased beforehand)?

Someone please clarify... quite confused now.. hahaha.

Just go to maxis center.. and if you had successfully registered earlier, they should be able to retrieve the information. Else, you just register and pay directly at the counter. Minus your worries biggrin.gif

Settings -> General -> Usage -> Cellular Network Data

both sent & received amount combined should not exceed your given quota for the month, eg. 500MB

It doesn't include WiFi data right?
