Hmm why do you suggest this? Value Plan 50 seems to be having a more expensive calling rate to other network which is at 18 cents per minute. Unless of course, Value Plan 1 from iphone deal (15 cents) is only for Maxis to Maxis rate.

Just a question, can I subscribe to Value extra if I were to use Ivalue Plan instead of Value Plus?

because i asked maxis staff they told me can't buy prepaid plan iphone ad since it is cut off by maxis.. so i was wondering this idea can be use?

It is the same as prepaid plans. Outright purchases are not available until further notice because there has been a surge in demand for Iphone from contract customers. Maxis have to make ways to put contract customers priority first before they start selling it to prepaid and idata1 customers.

All existing iValue subscribers are automatically upgraded to this 'enhanced' package. Its across the board. Maxis upgraded their subscription plans to make it more competitive. Just last month, iValue subscribers have been receiving sms notification from Maxis about this offer. Also existing subscribers with iPhone 3G are also sent an invitation card to notify them of this upgrade/change while also offering them a RM500 rebate on their monthly fees if they choose to buy the iPhone 3GS.

Also, last month I have received my Maxis bill with a special deductions on the amount of sms-es I've sent. It is properly and appropriately showed in the bill. So no worries guys... you're all under the same 'new iValue' plan.

i seldom call and cant even finish 100mb of the 500mb free data entitled for first month usage...

after 1 yr, can i opt for Value first + iData rm30? tat will make my bill only rm60+/month

Your obligation under contract is for a tenure of 12 months. After lapsation of that duration, it is your prerogative to do whatever you choose. That is in simple terms, the law of contract.

errmmm Peel, sorry to say this, but hotlink package has no contract. i just wanna finish using free 500mb/monthly for 1 yr. thanks for the answer though

yep as far as i was concerned it was only for maxis to maxis n no sms bundled, it has been change lately to suits the demand of the consumers, whats left now i think VP50 can have sup line under them, or ivalue can do dat too now? >.<

In my haste to reply, it slipped me that getting an iPhone with a pre-paid plan, you are not obligated under any contract. It is just that Maxis provides you with the free monthly data for a period of 12 months. Hence, you can store the pre-paid card away and sign up whatever plan you opt for. Whether you fully utilize the data or not use it at all, there is no loss to you since it is free but it would be a waste.

I know some people who do that just to get the iPhone without being tied down by any contract.

hey peoples, i wanna ask if i bought the iphone and i took the ivalue 2 contract. can i use the sim card for another phone? is it legal? if its illegal will i be penalized. what will happen? will they suspend my line or smth?

I think it is on ur free will to use the simcard on which phone therefore it is legal.

hmm.. yday i go ask machine for installment for iphone.. they told me only surcharge 4% then no more ad.. mean can installment without any interest.. then i go for 12 month without any extra charges.. just 4% surcharge for the processing fees.. am i correct?

yep, lets say the phone price is RM2590 for 32GB idata2 price.

Price after minus deposit paid(RM200) = RM2390.

Plus 4% bank charge 1.04*2390= RM2485.6

Please note that percentage of installment charge depending on which bank's cc that ure using.

Divide by 12months = RM207.13 will be charged to your cc monthly.

No extra charge if u pay to your cc before cutoff date.
