better book early or not u have to wait longer time..... 2nd batch might not have extra cause for those book after 24 july r still waiting for it.... 1st priority r giving to those book earlier

i wanted to book, but was not allowed to because its only for contract, i hate maxis, their coverage suck, so wat to do.

i can only hope to walk in and just get one on the spot.

my question is ... is the prepaid booking available?

I just ask someone working in maxis they said that they prepaid booking is freeze temporary due to shortage of stocks.

the current stock is for remainder of 1st batch prebookers (those who booked b4 24th). 2nd batch prebookers (those who booked after 24th) are more likely to collect after 18/8.

some maxis centres even stop taking orders completely, including for contract.

for those who want pay-as-you-go basis, i suggest u try after 18th, coz maxis focus now is to distribute to ALL prebookers. walk-in customers are not encouraged at all.

prepaid booking or any other non-contract basis plan is halted until they have more stocks in hand. It's kinda sad... =(

How about those who booked for iValue, but decided to change to prepaid during collection, is that ok?

Actually, I've thought about this .. since they don't accept booking for prepaid then why not I just say I wan the contract but change to prepaid during the day of collection. Unless they activate the line before you receive your Iphone

Nope I doubt its quite impossible as I initially bought my iphone outright from MAXIS too and when I asked if I could take up the prepaid plan to enjoy free data usage, they say can no longer change.

And if they really allow you to do so, then I guess everyone would be doing that as well to get to purchase it without takin a plan. Maxis isnt dupe in all these calculations.. They want to bond you.. that's the point.. You want it take it.. or not.. byebye.. =) That kinda thing...

yea some Maxis centres even stopped taking in orders cause they cant promise when will the next batch of phones will arrive.. I guess they would clear this batch off first before they order another new batch... well best of luck guys... =) try hooping into a smaller Maxis centre... perhaps they might have more stocks since most ppl flock to bigger Maxis Centres.. Haha

better check with those MEP store rather go for maxis or machines...... they might allow prepaid booking....

even if there's extra stocks, people still have to buy their prepaid sim packs, and the 500mb free data per month is truly a good offer, heck, i might even top up just to use it, so they still gain, maybe not as much as a contract user but its still a win-win situation.

what they're doing now is to maximize profit, lets hope we get more stocks by the end of this month.

i have make the booking on 06/08/2009 for my hotlink prepaid. And the staff telling me, i will get my phone on 18/08/2009.

Just an update from what i get from Maxis Centre Yesterday

As for the 0% installment plan only applied for Maybank(up to 24 mths), Public Bank(up to 12 mths) & HSBC(up to 12 mths) Credit Card Holder only.

i went to Maxis/Machines at Pyramid and both say cant book for prepaid, machines refused to accept any booking altogether. Maxis was even worse, they say "no such thing" and that the prepaid booking has been canceled. I think she just wants me to sign contract in order for her to get a comission what a *****.

Just wondering, anyone here booked and paid deposit in August and have already been contacted by maxis to collect their phone? Anyone that book from Sunway Pyramid maxis? Customer Service is useless.... they say they know nothing and only maxis centers have information. I booked mine and paid on 1st August =S now still waiting for call.... they didnt even tell me it was delayed...

I booked on the 2nd Aug, made payment on the spot and got it on the 7th August. I booked it at a rather small MEP store tho =)..customer service just wanna sweep your calls away thats why they arent serious is communicatin with customers....
