is not worth it.... u pay extra 100 then u dont have internet access.... if u get hotlink package also u get 500MB which worth RM30. Rm30x12 = 360 + Extra RM100 = RM460 total worth of money burn. Advice u to wait longer then only buy. Is a gadget not matter life and death smile.gif

May not be as clear cut. I remember the cancellation fees for iValue plans are pretty hefty. Don't forget that you will lose the prepayment too (unless it has been waived). Last time I read that the cancellation fees includes paying the entire period of contract fees. Not sure, but better read through the terms and conditions and also call up for confirmation. Its better this way than to 'hear say, hear say' promoters and then discuss it here. Those promoters are not Maxis personnel, they could be contract workers or hired for the promotion event only.

i hear that cancellation fees also. that's the point i can argue with them cause the promoter are representative of maxis and whatever he/she advise are valid in view from maxis.

I am not confident if they are adequately briefed on most matters. Hehehehe... cause they are to 'promote' and as such they are only equipped with knowledge/information related to ' to promote' rather than 'to terminate'. Thats all they care and all they should be doing.

Call 123 and you'll get your answers. Or visit the nearest Maxis center. Those are Maxis personnel and thats what valid. Promoters are hired off the street or from contract companies and the material/information are provided by the contract companies themselves (of course it originates from Maxis only limited). Also, the organizers of the promotion may not be Maxis but a participating company doing a Maxis promotion. Anyone can wear a Maxis t-shirt or brandishing a Maxis brand. :-)

Yea it is very possible since stocks have been arriving by the busloads according to a friend working in Maxis.

So for those who have booked late last month, time to go visit your Maxis center whenever you are free.

Let me rain on your parade a little more but I sincerely hope the dark clouds are not that gloomy.

It is generally a standard practice that replacement sets are refurbished. So, you just might get one of those which is a sin, given your situation. Suggest strongly that you check the set when you get it. Do report to us here so that those in the similar position would know the situation.

There was a case where on collecting the set, it was noticed that there were cracks on the unit but was told to use it first and bring back for warranty claim later. My advice to those who may be confronted with this situation, for what it is worth is don't, in view of what is stated above. Tell Maxis you don't want the set and get another one which at least you know then will be new.
