i still hope to see the day that my hog would actually eat an insect that i present to her ,_,

yes i've tried snapping it in half and letting her sniff it.
yes i've tried leaving it in her food bowl

only thing i've not tried is actually putting it in my mouth to show her it's edible shakehead.gif

LOL, superworms look too creepy to me so I don't buy them.
Not yet, still closed.
SHould open around 3 weeks or so.
Their 'snouts' have formed nicely though. biggrin.gif

SHOVE IT IN HER MOUTH!

Lol, I kid. Tried rubbing the bug juices on her cute little snout yet? Maybe with a lick or two at her snout, she'll like it.

yep. i kinda snapped once and went apenuts. literally dabbed bug juice all over her snout so that she would lick it > she refused and struggled > i kept dabbing > she stopped and stared at me

which of course made me feel like an ass. lol. havent tried giving her worms since that day.

she basically doesn't care for anything other than her kibbles. gurgh.

@ olivur : If you really REALLY want her to eat those bugs, crush 'em up & mix with the kibbles. xD You know, stick bits of crushed bugs to her kibble.
That's what I do with banana & Huffy's kibble.

@ ddr3 : Sounds like Huffy as well. Doesn't want to touch the beetle. Chubster doesn't care though. She'll eat anything & everything.

tried it. basically what happened was

12am - places mix of kibbles, brunoised carrots, capcicum, apples and dried apricot.

2am - kibbles gone, the rest in one corner covered in saliva.

,_,

chicken? she actually scoffed at it and continued to look for snuggling spots when i placed her on my lap and tried to feed her a boiled piece of chicken.

ninja edit*

dont get me wrong though, i still love her to bits. i'm just concerned at her lack of culinary sense of adventure. lol

exactly. anything other than kibbles? SCOFFS*

and i'm trying to not push it either. she's come a long way since her usual 7 (yes, seven) kibbles a day diet to an average of 25 kibbles now.

oh and try running your finger along her back when she balls up. eventually you'll figure how to run your finger against her quills too :P

luckily my girl's sort of okay with me touching her forehead stroking down her quills.... if not I don't know where else to pet her because she won't stay still and won't stay cupped in my hand, she keeps trying to get up @_@

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

BEcause she's so hyperactive... I let her walk around my computer table after she woke up for 15 minutes... *with some poo and pee here n there - managed to save them before they drop*
She got somewhat tired and slept beside my laptop while i stroke her

Attached Image

15 minutes later while watching my drama with 10% volume *changes sleeping pose*

Attached Image

*i stroke her head non stop since half an hour ago.. finger dam tired*

Another 15 minutes later, she balled up after she realised someone is touching her head ~ what a light sleeper~
