thanks for your help
on the first post i have read , it says that 'Only feed your pet with good quality kitten pellets. Some examples are like: Royal Canin, ... . Purina/Whiskas although widely available in supermarkets, they are not suitable for hedgehogs.' so whiskas is not really good for hedgies? QUOTE(TeliLeti @ Jun 14 2011, 10:45 PM) No problem. I just got my hedgie a month ago but with plenty of research online & help from the sifus of hedgehog around here, you can be a good hedgie owner in no time. I have a spare hamster wheel at home Most hedgehog owners said that it's necessary but I've read that some owners don't require wheels if their hedgehog prefers to run laps around their cage. I would still advise you to get a wheel though, since most hedgies do like to run on their wheels. Why not get a smaller wheel first until your hedgie grows too big for the wheel? I know someone selling an 8" wheel at the moment for a good price. I bought my hedgie playpen from her and the exercise wheel used to be used by her young hedgehog. I have guinea pigs and hamster and home xD. I was checking on the pet store and saw this hedgehog so cutee , plan to keep one ! Using a big plastic aquarium to keep the hedgie I heard that first time hedgie mom will sometimes die if they get pregnant. >_< So is it adviseable to buy a male one? |

going to get a hedgie tomorrow ( maybe ) yays!
Today i went to petshop to ask about a hedgie , the uncle kind enuf to let me hold the hedgie. After i give him back the hedgie , my hand so itchy , i look at it got bumps like after u got bitten by a mosquito. I also went petsmore , i wanted to check the pricing of RC , there was no RC 36 but there was 30 32 and 34 , and it cost really alot . 400 Gram packet was like RM27!! I saw someone in forums said they bought about Rm14? Anyone knows petshop around klang valley that dont 'overprice' the rc? And is science plan okay? QUOTE(TeliLeti @ Jun 18 2011, 07:58 PM) I adopted another hedgie today. xD haha i know , the person im getting the hedgie from said u adopted from him , so im buying snp hedgie from him The reaction you had was normal. It happens so no worries. It won't last. I bought 400g of RC32 for RM13.50 yesterday. And RC36 for RM14. I bought it at Galaxy Pets Link shop at Damansara Uptown. I can buy it for you if you want since my office is opposite the shop. Damansara is far from my place , i live nearby old klang road. Might go up to pets wonderland or ask my bf from seremban to buy some rc for me. Im gonna collect the hedgie tomorrow Yeah the reaction lasted for like 1 hour , kinda hard while writing with that kind of condition |

QUOTE(TeliLeti @ Jun 20 2011, 07:43 AM) Aww, I still have difficulty picking up hedgehogs. I can only put my hand under their belly. My skin on my poor hands are too thin to handle a ball of needles. I only pick her up when i put her inside the dome , then put a cloth on her back , then flip her upside down , let her try to wiggle out and i put my hand on her belly and let her walk.Adopted hedgie (no name yet) had really dry, flaky skin yesterday. I could find lots of skin on the storage box. I placed a few drops of vegetable oil on her back before I went to sleep. I woke up today & tada! No more flaky skin. She finally started eating. She's very inactive in the storage box but when I brought her out to the living room, she explores. She tries to attack me when i wanna touch her D:. She will hiss , then will jerk making it really difficult to pick her up. Yesterday i just put cloth on her back then can flip her , today she dun let me , keep jerk and the spine will poke through the cloth QUOTE(leeyung @ Jun 20 2011, 08:48 AM) Thanks QUOTE(ddr3 @ Jun 20 2011, 05:38 AM) Haha, i gt it when its 6 weeks when the quills r still soft, so it pricked me all the time, and now doesnt hurt liao. how old is he? My hedgie no matter what wont eat the mealworm - -.
I tried putting near her mouth , putting in her bowl , put the LIVE mealworm for 4 days also never touch :C. I keep mealworms so that i can provide my hedgie with healthy food. Basically i just give them oats and carrots for water source. That is all they need. Also my hedgie still dont like me lah Hibari says : Im scared. ![]() This post has been edited by ix3Rukia: Jun 22 2011, 10:40 PM |
