Nice work rawfish. Where u get that joystick anyway? Is it expensive?
Thank you. It's actually a Mad Catz Tournament Edition FightStick, bought from a local game store last March. Should cost around RM690 locally now, if you can still find it. But overall cost a little bit higher, due to the switch of buttons, stick and plexi glass frame on top. Artwork costs RM6.90 (RM0 for laser print, and the rest for the art block paper).

Aisyeh.. can color? Looks better with color.
Nahhh, I wanted it to appear as if those cool dudes from outside Central Market sketched it for me for RM100

whoa incredibly well written dood. if i'm the organiser of that event i would definitely feel intimidated, n mayb a touch defensive with a trace of fear
that said, as a fellow sf4 fan, i do feel a little inferior with my normal hori fight stick. i think, if i go to this tournament, i'm sure to meet alot of sf4 pros from the lowyat forums with high end arcade perfect sticks. m i ready to die like a dog and b disgraced wit my puny cheap stick?
mayb it's just me being overly sensitive, but the organiser may have a point if his/her perspective of the tournament is a friendly gathering hoping to attract families n their kids. if they see an army of humans with arcade perfect sticks surrounding the tourney, most casual gamers or ppl happening by would think "i dont stand a chance here let's go home..."
anyway i do support progress towards a more mature fight scene in msia. mayb then high profile players wil b invited from japan, korea, singapore etc. it'd be nice to b part of the atmosphere similar to evo 2009 where incredibly skilled sf4 players duke it out for prize n pride.
It's not the stick, it's the skills and experience that counts. A Sanwa/Seimitsu-grade stick helps with the moves execution for most (not all) people, and if you're comfortable enough with your own, nothing can stop you. Please continue to play the game on how you like to play it as long as you have no problems with the existing stick itself, and don't feel 'forced' to switch to something else that seems higher-end. What works for others may not work on you. Inferior? In tournaments and casual events, I don't see anyone looking at anyone else that way.
You are so right about the organizers making this more 'open' and friendly! I agree on the organizers' end (for The Mines one), and am grateful to Sony in general for making things happen - but if this keeps up, there is really no excuse to making it seem like they're preventing the competitive spirit of the tournament from evolving to a higher level. Higher level equates to MORE interest in the game, GIVING a more interesting show, ATTRACTS a bigger crowd and most importantly KEEPS the game from dying. At the Mid Valley Marathon Tournament, once stick players setup their gear on the tables, the crowd INSTANTLY gathered round, and that's just for the casuals. The SF4 area was the most happening one.
Let's hope for the best.

Awesome looking stick and sketching ability man.
Was that post you quoted of yours directed to the Mines tournament? I felt that I had such short notice to register and prepare for it, so I decided to pass.
Location was the other factor of course but that's easier to prepare for with more time.
And no sticks is kind of a bummer.

The full work log's here:

Woa rawfish, that's a pretty cool mod u have there.
I'm still working on mine.
A HRAP3 and a TE. The problem is, i did not do much research when ordering ur bulk so i'm stuck on using the TE original red bezel.
Pretty tough to work out an art that goes well with the colour scheme... damn...

Pretty busy this past few weeks... will definitely post up some pics once mod is done...

You can always venture to spray the bezel. I read other people did it with multiple coatings sufficiently left dry over a few days.
