i only remember one, and i swear i will beat the crap out of that one the next time i meet him.
never again i will miss the same link. never again i will give him space to breath and taunt me.
i will just rush him down, end the match, and taunt him before it ends.

the worst thing is i lost to the taunt and my hot temper, instead of losing to the ken.
i lost my cool, and making a rare mistake in my bnb combo and allowed his srk spam input to break through my link.
and out of rage i actually threw the match away by throwing a random ultra.
same shit happened not for the first time. i really need to control.

anyway, the videos from yesterday's tournament from The Mines are all uploaded, pls comment+rate the videos as you watch.
the Grand finals which Leong Teng Fai aka Gigatonpress83 is a must watch, as he take the championship with dominating performance.

Even though I lost, at least I lost to good players. I'm happy with that. During Penang Sony Centre tourney, I lost to this noob player. He used Sagat and I used Ryu. Keep spamming random moves, dont even block and I cant even do any moves. I have to admit I was still not a good player back then. We did PAWN his @SS after the tourney though.

Plus I'm not used to the Sony's controller. Always use Sam's controller which is a bit faulty xD. I dont use stick btw. Want to but no chance. No PS3 somemore. If got sure I invest to buy the stick already.

The problem with me, Quist and Sam is that we dont have enough exposure. We always play at home among each other only. We seriously need more experience. The only time we go out is when theres a tourney. I even missed the Mid Valley tourneys during the gadget and games convention I think. I only received that there is a SF4 tourney the night before the top 8 finals. sad.gif

Keep visiting this thread and the other SF4 threads (like the Tournament thread and the SF4 thread in Gamer's Hideout).

We'll be updating when the next gathering/meetup is.

If you want, you can always ask us to announce it to you on MSN, or PM you here or something. I did that with Kodanshi before (Mike, who went to the Mines tourney).

Yo Alvin, not to burst your bubble, but the Rufus who made it to 3rd placing match isn't Don Don but one of the 8 of us CM guys that went. I didnt notice another Rufus but i remember not seeing any other Rufus user making it through qualifying. On the note of Ken, yeah he did the taunt intentionally to see if you would charge headfront, he uses it all the time on us back in the studio, and he doesnt use it to intentionally offend ppl, he's actually a very nice guy and means no harm, its just a tactic that even Daigo uses back in SF3 days. Keep it cool man.

Back to my earlier question about the PS3 stick compatibility, i know both MADCATZ TE and HRAP3 works with PC, but i'd like to know has anyone tried them with the PC version of SF4, as SF4 is a Games for Windows Live game on PC, i'm afraid Microsoft might do something shady to cause incompatibility

Sounds like you guys had a blast.

Please inform me of transportation more than 12 hours in advance next time. XD

What was the character selection spread like?  A million Ryukens or a nicer spread and were there any decent Boxers/Hondas? smile.gif

____

Quist Cammy, are you and Claw friend + Ryufus friend attending the next gathering?

honky, same question to you except it addresses you and your group of 8. smile.gif

Thanks for the videos, MasterAlvin! Loved them though I totally sucked! Haha!

Anyway, to reply to Darkstalker, I am personally not sure if we are able to make it though we would try. Do give us more information so we can start planning our journey. Not really sure about the roads in KL since I will be driving there. Haha:) However, we will give our confirmation few days prior to the gathering! Really hope to meet you guys again!

I will be answering for Don Don @ Dinie here regarding Thrust's question:

Both of us do not have a PSN ID as we are playing using Sam's PS3. Personally, both of us do not own any consoles and can only play when we have the opportunity to do so.

I agree with Don Don @ Dinie that the three of us (Me, Dinie and Sam) needs more exposure. I have exposure with the SF4 people in Penang but definitely not in KL. Its really interesting getting to see many different playing styles instead of the "spam"-type of Ryu-Ken-Akuma:) Honestly, we learnt a lot during the tournaments and its a really refreshing thing! Thank you again!

ah i see, the rufus is from your gang, what's his name? i will correct the desciptions on the youtube videos.
and daigo only taunts justin.
nice guy or not, i hope i will meet your friend's ken again in casual meetings or tournaments. heh... must avenge myself with a stick.
i have nothing against your friend i might add, and i already explained myself in one of my previous posts:

and i have a Hrap3, it works flawlessly on my PC. just plug and play, didnt even need to go into controls configuration.

some of us also dun own a console, however they still own a stick and bring it around whenever there's a gathering or a tournament.
trust me, as a fighting game fan, you will never regret investing in a good fight stick.

PS3 TE stick don't work with SF4 PC. Reason, that stick needs USB 1.1 port. If you have it, it works. But if yours is 2.0, you need to buy a PCI with USB 1.1 on it.

USB 2.0 have USB 1.1 backward compatibility .....

or the stick really needs _only_ USB1.1 port to works?

Lucky I bought HRAP3
