Well, that because Dell warranty is also more expensive...
and that's the beauty of onsite warranty nod.gif

i really worried about the asus's after sales service quality, causing me taking extra good care on my lappy to avoid these troublesome repairing issues...

you can't expect much from a sub rm3k laptop...built quality is average...over time you can see some plastic flexing and joints not sealed properly..its normal for a laptop without a magnesium chasis... smile.gif

Hello guys,

1. In asus notebook, theres a lot of unneeded software, if we delete it, is there any effect to the warranty?

2. If we want to make a backup, do it with factory setting or after uninstall all the bloatware?

thx ^^

p/s i got the answer already.. thx.

doh.gif...6 threads of the same topic...your pc/laptop lags??? laugh.gif..

Anyway,

Its your choice..you can uninstall all the software that come with the laptop (please exclude Alienware as some software/bloatware are special and cannot be install after format tongue.gif)...

Removing all the software won't VOID your warranty nod.gif...

Do BACKUP after your uninstall all unnecessary software nod.gif

QUOTE(miahahaha @ Mar 9 2010, 08:13 PM)
Yup,
just do a new recovery image that contains stuff that you need only....like,

1.Uninstall all unnecessary software
2.Install software that you think you really need (like Adobe Reader,Winamp, etc)
3.After that, do BACKUP nod.gif

Next time your laptop got problem, just do a recovery and you are done notworthy.gif

u can uninstall those software u dont need. wont affect the warranty.
