Just bought one unit A42JR. What disappoints me is the preloaded setup which has too many bloatwares. Some of them I don't even know what is it for.

Anyone who change their laptop's HDD to SSD?

my F8vr changed X25-M 80G SSD. And i found that the temp at HDD side (Left rest palm there) is hot than the time with HDD....

the SSD is more hot than HDD?

This guy faced similar heat issue with SSD and he managed to cool down the temp by cleaning the dust, yea seems unrelated directly to the SSD, but it worked. ( In theory SSD should be much cooler than a spinning Hdd.)

U may know more about ur new ssd using this programhttp://crystalmark.info/software/CrystalDiskInfo/index-e.html, then from there can see the Health Status of ur Intel SSD, how many percent of lifespan of is still Good under ID no. E9 value with attribute name: Media Wearout Indicator, and of course the Temp of SSD etc..

just the temp.....not hot like 7200rpm HDD, but seem hot than the 5400rpm...

Just to say that is not hot like the link above, but i sure is around 40c

correction. it's i5-430m 2.27ghz. u can get lower price now. i buy this model for 2gb ram is rm27++. if you want to upgrade your ram to 4gb, it rm29++.

so its like 200 ringgit overpriced? or with a 2 year international warranty the price is justified?

a shop here at penang quoted me rm2799 with 2gb ram and the 2 years warranty as well.I suppose rm3199 is too ex?

yeah,the price for 2gb ram ddr3 in market now is 175 if i'm not wrong.. so rm27++ + rm175= rm29++

i just using this model for 3 weeks.. i dont know how to describe this laptop.. maybe next time..
