I actually have a conspiracy theory in mind about this. Does the "Sarawakian" they mean refer to "Indigenous Sarawakian" only? If that's the case, then it's no surprise we hear nothing from them lol.

Perhaps if you just tie your card for direct debit.
Best is to check with PTPTN through live chat.

I just asked them about the discount for full settlement, and they just asked for my IC number...
and then told me what's the amount I need to pay (after 15% discount), if I manage to pay fully within 1 Nov - 30 Nov.
*
Meaning just pay the discounted rate instead of pay full then wait for them rebate the 15%?
Want to check with you, you pay by the PTPTN FPX or? Cause I usually pay using cimbclicks online pay bill, and I see that PTPTN at least doesn't accept Jompay for the monthly 10% discount to apply. Not sure if 15% discount also got some sort of condition/limitation on payment method🤔

Yes, just paid the discounted amount (better by 20th of the November)

Check the discounted amount here:
https://www.ptptn.gov.my/PengesahanBakiPeny...ianHutang/Utama

I paid partially through shopeepay and balance at PTPTN website few days ago.
Not sure about 10% discount. But, for full settlement I was told you can pay by various methods and few transactions.
As long as they received the required amount within this month.

I've settled mine, waiting for their system month end closing and I've been told that I would need to follow up for "Surat Penyelesaian Hutang" with them around early of next month.

Any Sarawakian PTPTN borrowers here have received the Insentif Bayaran Balik Pinjaman PTPTN Anak Sarawak?

It says the Sarawak Government will help pay 30% of your remaining balance if you have cleared at least 30% of your original loan amount.

No application is needed as PTPTN will submit the list of eligible borrowers to the Sarawak Government and automatically deduct the 30% from their account.

As a Sarawakian myself, I intend to get this incentive first and then take advantage of the 15% (fully paid) discount announced in the Budget 2022.

I've been waiting for it since the incentive was announced earlier in March (and also have cleared more than 30% of my original loan amount) to make myself eligible for it.

However, my name was just not listed as the recipient of the initiative when I constantly checked my IC through the online semakan portal every month. Three months ago, I contacted the PTPTN officer through their live chat and as per her instruction, I submitted my IC as well as my parents' IC through e-mail for verification (maybe she wanted to check if both my parents and I are Sarawakian or not). Since then, I received no further news from her (I even replied the said email a month later but she's simply MIA lol).

As of today, my name is still not listed in their list of recipients, and of course, no payment of the said incentive is made to my account when I checked through my loan balance inside the system. Not sure what took them so long when it's just a 30% discount to the remaining loan balance and I'm still paying my PTPTN loan on a monthly basis lol. So I'm wondering has any Sarawakian successfully received this incentive?

I also checked with an officer he said no directive from the sarawak government yet. means abj jo also empty promises. announced like that but nothing at all. instead of ptptn someone should raise this to the sarawak government instead.

Probably. but, the amount you need to settle will be slightly different month by month, due to interest charges.
For my case, I just want to clear-off ASAP and stop PTPTN from appearing in my CCRIS record.
Because they reported me to CCRIS of "6" months outstanding out of a sudden after 1 Jan 2021 (not knowing those konvensional loan type need to pay back at lump sum the amount not paid during moratorium period)

Not too sure about this, maybe you can check with PTPTN.
They have a live chat on their homepage.

i wonder how the 10% rebate works or lasts if it is monthly rebate

For full settlement, rebate till April next year
but what about the 10% rebate monthly

is it i subscribe now then since then all my monthly rebate is getting 10% rebate
or it is just 10% until April next year, if later then it sounds lame.

Is that true?

Sorry never apply before last time.

chatted with PTPTN live chat, it seems the 10% rebate is for 6 months (Nov 2021 until April 2022) ONLY, meaning May 2022 direct debit will not entitle for 10% rebate.

back then we were given options by the institution to direct debit or pay on our own, but that's a few years back and ain't sure if it varies between institutions.

Hi guys, my ptptn loan debt is RM7k. Usually I pay with direct debit every month. Question: should I pay lump sum with 15% discount, or rather invest the money on ETF (target S&P 500) and continue pay every month? Thanks in advance

My study ended on July 2020. Until now my University don't have official scroll that we supposed to use when applying for the First Class exemption.

I have called my university to get the scroll since 2021 but they said, the scroll have yet to be printed out. need to wait for it to official printed and signed. until recently, my university has yet to have final say about my scroll and transcript status.

I tried to ask my University about this, and they can give me a letter saying that i have graduated, but when I call PTPTN to re-confirm, the guy said they only accept official scroll and transcript submission and not sure about the letter.

I have called here and there, back and forth to get solution for this one but still no answer nor solution.. me and my friends all waiting for the scroll. afraid it would be too late cause it will expired this JUNE.

I'm not sure what to do now, I scared while waiting for my scroll the application for First Class exemption will be clos.

Anyone experiences the same?

Anyone paid full on 30th April for the 15% discount? I did it on the last day itself - checked with live agent said as long as payment is done on 30th, can get the discount.

But today I got my email update and shows the bill balance/transaction, don’t have the discount 😭

Anyone faced similar issue? Haiz. Hope can still argue back the 15% otherwise wasted my full payment.
