yea. non ujrah need to settle balance after moratorium. they wan to force everyone to convert to ujrah.

my payment almost done, left few months, and i have no use for a clean credit at the moment or needs to travel overseas. so i going to let it be with the ccris until i settle the debt finish. then it will clear off by itself.

if u cant wait like me, u can contact ptptn to get your loan converted or settle the balance to chase back the payment schedule.
*
I also left 1 more year to fully settle the balance, not worth to convert to ujrah.
Unfortunately there's no discount for full settlement now (contacted PTPTN for this).
I'm looking to apply for credit card. So, got to clean up my record by chase back the payment schedule in few months time.

Hi all, I am on PTPTN ujrah scheduled for repayment of 15 years. I have been paying more than the required payment every month by about RM 80. After some calculation, I realised that this is actually not very beneficial as I am still paying the full interest. Am I right in thinking this?

Question: for postgrad student, is there a rule in which if you earn above xxx amount salary per month, you're not eligible for PTPTN?

Hi. I have just graduated with bachelor degree (first class) in electrical engineering from UMS in September. I wonder if the waive of PTPTN loans still applicable? May someone guide me on the steps after my graduation. I haven't got a job as of the pandemic now.

I would like to know more about this too.

What are the criteria to be eligible for exemption?
If I managed to land a job while waiting for my graduation certificate to apply for this exemption, am I still eligible for this exemption if my household income has exceeded the brackets for B40?

EDIT: My college offers the service to apply for this exemption on behalf of the students too. What are the chances of success by applying through college and personal? The previous posts mentioned I will need to have surat akuan but it was not requested from my college

Family Income --> Dad + Mom + You = B40 /M40 bracket.
Else you don't apply for a job.

Surat Akuan if you go to Pejabat Sumpah make oath.

I think Uni/College will only help prepare the necessary documents, hmm.gif

I think the total family income will exceed the B40/M40 bracket after I start working. So this literally means that there is a higher chance for me to be rejected for exemption?

My college said they can help to apply for the exemption, all they need is my final transcript and official certificate. Now I am doubting their service because they did not mention anything about requiring a letter from the oath commissioner.

Any Sarawakian PTPTN borrowers here have received the Insentif Bayaran Balik Pinjaman PTPTN Anak Sarawak?

It says the Sarawak Government will help pay 30% of your remaining balance if you have cleared at least 30% of your original loan amount.

No application is needed as PTPTN will submit the list of eligible borrowers to the Sarawak Government and automatically deduct the 30% from their account.

As a Sarawakian myself, I intend to get this incentive first and then take advantage of the 15% (fully paid) discount announced in the Budget 2022.

I've been waiting for it since the incentive was announced earlier in March (and also have cleared more than 30% of my original loan amount) to make myself eligible for it.

However, my name was just not listed as the recipient of the initiative when I constantly checked my IC through the online semakan portal every month. Three months ago, I contacted the PTPTN officer through their live chat and as per her instruction, I submitted my IC as well as my parents' IC through e-mail for verification (maybe she wanted to check if both my parents and I are Sarawakian or not). Since then, I received no further news from her (I even replied the said email a month later but she's simply MIA lol).

As of today, my name is still not listed in their list of recipients, and of course, no payment of the said incentive is made to my account when I checked through my loan balance inside the system. Not sure what took them so long when it's just a 30% discount to the remaining loan balance and I'm still paying my PTPTN loan on a monthly basis lol. So I'm wondering has any Sarawakian successfully received this incentive?

Halo peeps, may I know following the budget 2022 PTPTN discount, is it wise to pay 1 lump sum or pay half?

Last time they did 20% discount, this time 15% for 1 lump sum repayment, kinda think that the 5% reduction is a key deciding factor.

I'm not sure if it's a good move to pay large amount, need to seek a second opinion..

how the discount amount gonna be calculated if i were to go for the 10% discount?

the 10% discount will be applied based on the last amount on April 2022 or amount in November 2021?

i’m still hoping the government would be giving 20% discount one day.. very tempting to go for the 15% but i think i’ll skip this round

Perhaps if you just tie your card for direct debit.
Best is to check with PTPTN through live chat.

I just asked them about the discount for full settlement, and they just asked for my IC number...
and then told me what's the amount I need to pay (after 15% discount), if I manage to pay fully within 1 Nov - 30 Nov.

i just checked their fb and saw one of their replies saying the 10% will be applied on the monthly repayment itself instead of the full amount
