erm. how long does you guys take for waiting the confirmation letter after the booking.

i got the sms yesterday after completed all 5 steps of the booking online, but still not getting any confirmation letter from maxis yet.

i'm planning to pay the deposit by today, can i just go to the maxis centre with the sms ref. no. provided to pay the RM200 deposit?

within 24 hours starting from the minute u done your booking .

I just called Maxis on 123, and they said that even without a reference number, you can go to a maxis center (KLCC or Gardens), give them your IC or mobile number if you're an existing customer and then you can check and pay your booking there.
Will be going to Gardens tomorrow if that's the case.

i don't mind waiting another few hours. the problem is, how do you ensure i will receive the mail within 24 hours? and how if i didn't get it after 24 hours?

that's why i'm asking most of you all which had received the e-mail, how long times does it take to receive the e-mail after the online booking.

With all the teething problems Maxis faced yesterday for the online booking, I've not heard of anybody receiving their email even till now (I've been waiting 22 hours now). Another forumer, blacktrix, mentioned that we could still pay our deposit at Maxis Centre using the reference number in our sms.

But to be on the safe side and knowing Maxis still being so kelam kabut, better wait for the email before paying.

I book yesterday afternoon but until now still haven't receive any email. Call the cs up and was inform i can walk into the maxis center to pay the deposit using the reference number provided in sms. Went to the maxis center they can;t even find the the reference number and they won't even accept my deposit. LOL.... Call the Cs again to clarify everything and finally the center accept my deposit providing me an official receipt. The receipt is not print out from the system. Call the CS again to double confirm and they said the simple official receipt is the confirmation.

u can try go to other's to book urs without any confirmation e-mail or sms

I've call up Maxis and they said can go to the centre without the email and u have to show the sms with the ref number only. But how true is this im not sure bcos when they answer me they also like not really confirm.

I read there's been a couple who's received the confirmation email but I don't remember whom. The bulk however didn't get the confirmation email but did receive an SMS and have gone ahead to pay their RM200 deposit.

Yes I think it's possible because some forummers oredi paid their RM200 deposite without that confirmation email. Just make sure you do have the reference number.

yeap it's confirm, coz i followed a friend yesterday who went to pay his deposit at Maxis KLCC. just showed them his reference number he got from the sms they sent him.

Does anyone know if the booking can be done at MEP not listed on maxis website for online booking?

have anyone tried booking under prepaid plan yet? i meant by anyone went to any maxis center and book directly under prepaid plan. not online booking.

it should be alright, coz i sorta did the same thing. since i'm the supp line, i kinda registered and paid for my principal line's (my dad's) behalf. got him to forward me the sms registration code. but REMEMBER to give your friend your IC number as well, they'll ask for it. plus your name and telephone number you wanna register.

woot, finally solved my problem. went to Maxis KLCC, they directed me to their PC (despite me protesting that it's the same website and i've already tried it and it doesn't work!), and voila. it works. "

neways to make this post relevant, just to let you guys know:

collection at Maxis KLCC for 31/7/2009 at the morning slot (9 am to 11am i think), has been FULLY BOOKED.

hi guys, i am planning to buy iphone 3gs from maxis but maybe in 2-3 months time. My question is, from past experience, does maxis suffered shortage of iphones after the launching date? like waiting period of 1 month or more for new stock to arrive? (Assume the booking date is August onwards) >.<

it is unlocked.
but the settings (which u can change) is preset with maxis settings.
