Managed to book the iValue 2 Plan for a 32GB iPhone. Got the confirmation SMS from Maxis asking me to pay RM200 deposit at Maxis Centre but I still havent received the confirmation email which I'm supposed to print and bring along when I pay my deposit.
Any of you guys who booked got the email already?

QUOTE(bluesky87 @ Jul 15 2009, 10:36 PM) I've click on the resend validation email on Maxis page but still haven't receive any confirmation email yet. So far only SMS. I guess we'll have to wait till tomorrow and see how it goes. QUOTE(blacktrix @ Jul 15 2009, 10:40 PM) Just to recheck, has anyone gotten their email confirmation yet? I'm still waiting for the email after almost 11 hours. The sms came immediately though. Hope my booking is still intact in their database. QUOTE(esdome @ Jul 16 2009, 09:40 AM) i don't mind waiting another few hours. the problem is, how do you ensure i will receive the mail within 24 hours? and how if i didn't get it after 24 hours? that's why i'm asking most of you all which had received the e-mail, how long times does it take to receive the e-mail after the online booking. With all the teething problems Maxis faced yesterday for the online booking, I've not heard of anybody receiving their email even till now (I've been waiting 22 hours now). Another forumer, blacktrix, mentioned that we could still pay our deposit at Maxis Centre using the reference number in our sms. But to be on the safe side and knowing Maxis still being so kelam kabut, better wait for the email before paying.

Just paid my RM200 deposit at Maxis Centre at Gardens MidValley. Showed them my SMS and I/C and they issued me a receipt for the deposit.
Since I haven't received my confirmation email even after 24 hours, they said I will need to bring that email plus my deposit receipt when I collect my iPhone on 31/7.
They also said I could change my iValue or iData plan on 31/7 itself...only the iPhone model cannot be changed as it would already be reserved as per my booking.

QUOTE(bigtree @ Jul 17 2009, 09:40 AM) i booked for 32gb, 24 months plan. thought of changing it to 12 months plan only when i collecting it on 31st. but the person in charge said i can't do that. according to him, if i would like to change the plan, i'll have to re-book again The person at Maxis Centre Gardens told me I could still change the plan on 31/7. Only the phone model cannot change.

QUOTE(Akechi84 @ Jul 17 2009, 11:25 AM) according david keong the manager of maxis call centre , all plan or phone model can still be change when u make the deposit payment at the centre , the staff there will able to access to booking system and allocate the changes , no extra charges yeah ~ I dropped by at Maxis Centre Gardens again just now and they told me the same thing that they told me yesterday. On 31/7 when you collect, you can still change the plan, you can even change the phone line (to supplementary or to primary) or even register a new number to be used with the iPhone. In fact, they said everything can change except the iPhone model which must follow what was booked. So we still have 2 weeks to decide what plan suits us best.

QUOTE(johnliew @ Jul 17 2009, 04:02 PM) I just paid my RM200 at Machines @ 1U. Got some bad news for you folks. According to Kean (or Kin?), they can no longer guarantee whether there will be enough iPhone for everyone who paid RM200, since the demand is too high. According to him, 1U branch alone has about 70 booking (as of lunch today) and response on all the other Machine branches have been overwhelming too. I asked him if I camp outside Machines@1U during 31st, would it help? He said, might not help at all, because they might follow the booking order - i.e. order of who paid the RM200 first with them. So my advise of now is to shy away from Machines and go to true blue Maxis Centers to book yours (e.g. Maxis TTDI, Maxis KLCC), IMHO. I thought the Maxis online booking will restrict the number of people booking each time slot at each outlet? If that restriction is in place, then Maxis & Machines should have sufficient stocks for each time slot. Unless of course there are people who booked the collection date as 1st Aug but decide to collect on 31st July - would Maxis or Machines entertain such people? Hopefully not otherwise there'll be mad rush of first come first serve on 31st July and this will also defeat the purpose of choosing your date, time and venue of collection when booking.

I hope I'm not spamming, Mods I just received my 32GB 3GS Black at Gardens Maxis Centre. Went at 9.45am and not much crowd. I was the 3rd person in the queue and everything was completed in less than 30 mins. They told me my switch from my existing Value Plus plan to iValue plan takes place immediately. When I left there were probably just 5-7 people waiting to be served.
