Well, went to my area's maxis centre and just back..
Being told that they have no 32GB and they will only get the stock AFTER 4th August..
Well, nothing I can do..

I just called up maxis centre, they say got no impact for 16gb in maxis centre cheras, juz 32gb got no stock....

Anyone got ask if the pick up is based on first-come-first-server basis?

Cause pickup time has been allocated to every buyer, there are currently 3 time slots for the pickup.

I'm in hello station bangsar. 10am now and no iPhones at all. Will wait for the proper staff to come in for an update or how to hold my phone until I can pick it up later

just got my 16gb 3gs, was informed by maxis staff that 32gb will only be available on the 5th Aug.

Problem with us Malaysians are when companies like Maxis who say the iphones will be available for collection today but end up not able to, most of us just keep quiet and wait till the day they are available. I think if this happens in the US, they would have been sued already. They just take us consumers for granted.

Another update from Machines KLCC:
(this time around, they were refering to a few sheets of paper, but refused to show me)

1. Maxis promised to send in the stock to them today. Fingers crossed
2. They can fulfill 31st July's collection ONLY with extremely limited stock (they never mention about lack of 32GB though)
3. First come first serve basis (based on payment date)
4. Asked about mine.. they say can be done today as long as Maxis come on time (but mine's 32GB though.. thot tak da?)

Went to maxis centre jb @ tmn molek this morning ard 8:45am and wholla I was first one there.heee great. Dissappointedly no freebie thou. Then there were two more chaps came to collect theirs. The whole process took approx 45mins (coz got 2 phones mah).

According to the staff they received about 100+ units but 32gb has yet to arrive. So guys gd luck in collecting ur new babies!

Just got my white 16gb 3g-s from Kuching Maxis. No 32gb available though. Saw one fuming customer and I can tell you Maxis centre staff this morning kelam kabut betul, a lot of issues. First say I cannot buy prepaid coz I booked online using my postpaid maxis no, then can and macam2 lagi. End up I got my iphone and a nice iphone 3g -s roundneck black t-shirt for my troubles. Haha

My fren booked at machine got a call and was told to wait for their call to collect instead of the choosen time.
What about maxis centre? anybody having difficulties?

i got call from maxis centre last night... 32GB need to wait at least 2 week only got stock and not enuf stock... for 16GB as well.. he ask me wait for his cal..

I just came back from my MEP collection center in Giant Kota Damansara. Stock not arrived.

I called yesterday and they bounce me around, eventually one of their people said I can get today. So based on this, I complained and the bounce around until one of the distributor's manager, finally able to help me.

They said they will specially make sure mine is reserved upon stock arrival (6pm today) because of this misunderstanding.

Conclusion? If you didn't call earlier to MAKE SURE you can get it, you first come first served if you're lucky. If you got a good case, as long as it's possible to give you, they will try to appease you.

I'm here in mid valley machine but no stock arrive, even have should be 16gb only, 32g white might have or might not... But 32g black was really not much changes... Dunno what to do now leave mid valley or not...!?!?
Wait another hour see they have or not... If not then the stock should be in next week.... Now global 32g black out of stock this is what machine staff told me

Update from Machines 1U.

I got there at 9.45am and waited for the staff to arrive only to find out that the stock hadn't arrive. Some people got the call yesterday to inform them of this news, but I guess I wasn't one of them. For that I blame Machines for not getting the message through to everyone who registered a there were another 3 ppl there who didn't get the call as well.

According to Machines 1U, 27 units of the 32GB black (my choice) was ordered. Stock is supposed to arrive sometime today but they're not sure which models as well. For the stock issues and not prempting their customers directly, while trying to put the responsibility on Machies, I hold Maxis accountable as Machines are only the authorized agents and they also had no clue on when the stocks would arrive even after chasing Maxis for an answer.

Machines 1U said that they would reserve the phones for us as they arrive so that we wouldn't face the problem of out of stock or waiting in line when we come back to collect it. They are also preregistering our plans to speed up the process later, which is much appreciated. I'm just crossing my fingers now hoping that the 32GB black phones will arrive today.
