I doubt that you will get your 32gb today as I went to maxis centre and was told that even maxis centres have to wait after 4th August only will have 32gb in stock..

Anyway i listened to radio this morning and I heard they are promoting the iphone 3Gs at MV maxis centre, i assume they have more than enough stock to do a road show there.

Final reminder guys, pls pls call the shop where u r collecting before you go there, otherwise you'll end up stranded there doing nothing. I know you want to be one of the first to get your hands on it but since they set the rule that they will call you, then they'll call you.

My theory on y there's shortage of 32gb is tat it is new compared to 16gb, i assume apple can just use the 16gb 3g phone casing and most of the internals and change to 16gb 3gs, whereas 32gb needs entirely different casing and memory.

hmm... i'm planning to get the 3gs but unfortunately i din book earlier.
Was wondering if i could make booking now since the stock is so limited?

last week i just got 3unit 32GB black from sydney..... n still have plenty of stock
and this morning my brother text me from sydney saying that 32GB balck still plenty wor.... where got global out of stock??

I just received my 32GB 3GS Black at Gardens Maxis Centre. Went at 9.45am and not much crowd. I was the 3rd person in the queue and everything was completed in less than 30 mins. They told me my switch from my existing Value Plus plan to iValue plan takes place immediately.
When I left there were probably just 5-7 people waiting to be served.

Maxis asked you to pay the deposit to prevent consumers from abusing the booking tool. I honour that, seeing that without the RM200 deposit, the situation would have been more catastrophic.

Maxis has already informed you all, there's a delay in their stocks, so you can do not but wait. Blaming Maxis would not help. Suing them would not help. And ranting here in the forum would NOT HELP.

So please, stop. It's aggressing a lot of forumers including me to find so much rantings.

Maxis take more than 30mins just to print my form....!!

If bookings are still open U can go ahead to make the booking or wait till this madness clear and do a walk-in purchase. I'm quite sure this stock issue isn't going to be a 'forever-issue'.

can anyone confirm is there is 32GB White for collection today or not?

some says 32GB is available only on 5th August, while some says there is stock?

i called the centre twice , apparenttly they will be sufficent stock(32 & 16 GB) for those who book at KLCC , SUNWAY , GARDENS , SUMMITS ( all major maxis center in town) so pls be patient . and pls go according to the time slot that stated on your booking form .

Alright thanks for the info, i think i'll call up maxis to acquire more details.

I just received email from Maxis saying that my new collection date of 3G S is 5 Aug onwards..you know what guys..they sent this message not under my name and booking ref number, is another customer details who is from Kuantan Pahang. I'm from Kuching..Maxis just copy and paste the message and simply dump the email to every customers.

I got mine from Taipan on 8.30am, the first to collect, no queue. Not many ppl booking here I guess

I'm not going to call them. I will ASSUME since they have not called me that there will be sufficient 32GB stocks @ Sunway on Sunday, 2 August 09.
If not, then I'll give them hell.. and perhaps they can cool me down with some freebies

Only thing I find weird is how come they didn't bother to ask me to firm up which plan that I wanted?
I thought it would take some time to register a line bla bla bla and since the queue for the phones are long, they'd want to settle that first?

I received a call at 11pm last night saying that my collection will have to be delayed until 4th Aug. He was a bit dramatic, saying that there were "no stocks" at all in Malaysia. I let him go.. I figured he would probably have been blasted by consumers the whole night.

FYI, booked a black 32gb at Maxis Centre, Bukit Tinggi, Klang.

I just called MEP Seri Kembangan Jusco

She said
"we already called maxis and they said maybe tomorrow, maxis said if not today then maybe tomorrow. we will contact your phone number when it arrived. maxis centre said tonight stock will arive"

uhhhhh.....quite polite but cant say anything since stock isnt there yet
no promises that tomorrow can pick it up though
