you get to have a 'nice' feeling all to yourself throughout the day. thats your reward after you register you have to pay RM200 at the service centre to confirm your registration. I think if you don't pay then you're not committed to anything

just a few questions, not sure if its been posted yet, but i've looked through most of the postings. I'll b collecting the 3GS from Machines in 1 Utama on 31/7 10am-2pm. I'm planning to take up the iValue2 plan 1. When u get the phone can u immediately stick in ur sim and straight away use the phone on the new iValue plan that u signed up with? 2. Do u hv to visit a Maxis centre after collecting your phone to change your plan before being able to use the phone? 3. Does Machines offer the same 0% installment as Maxis? (MBB 24 months, HSBC/CIMB 12 months) 4. Can you change your plan from what you registered online with when you collect the phone? Thanks in advance for help on this, or point me to a thread that already has the answers

Update from Machines 1U.
I got there at 9.45am and waited for the staff to arrive only to find out that the stock hadn't arrive. Some people got the call yesterday to inform them of this news, but I guess I wasn't one of them. For that I blame Machines for not getting the message through to everyone who registered a there were another 3 ppl there who didn't get the call as well.
According to Machines 1U, 27 units of the 32GB black (my choice) was ordered. Stock is supposed to arrive sometime today but they're not sure which models as well. For the stock issues and not prempting their customers directly, while trying to put the responsibility on Machies, I hold Maxis accountable as Machines are only the authorized agents and they also had no clue on when the stocks would arrive even after chasing Maxis for an answer.
Machines 1U said that they would reserve the phones for us as they arrive so that we wouldn't face the problem of out of stock or waiting in line when we come back to collect it. They are also preregistering our plans to speed up the process later, which is much appreciated. I'm just crossing my fingers now hoping that the 32GB black phones will arrive today.

not everyone had the liberty of being informed beforehand that the stock wasn't available. even someone like me who went to the outlet 2 days ago to check on the procedures didn't get a hint of an idea that the phones would not arrive. which is why the frustration is unavoidable and even more exaggerated when we find out that in all our anticipation by taking the effort to sign-up and pay the deposit early, others who booked much later but won the flip of the Maxis/Machines coin were able to get their phones first, while us unfortunate ones are still left in the dark on when we'll see ours.
just wondering, has anyone managed to collect 32GB black model from any Machines outlet? or was priority given to Maxis outlets?

i guess its getting more obvious that the sequence of priority is Maxis-MEP-Machines. man i'm still cheesed off about this, again, people who are sitting quietly in positions where they should speak up, please give us a simple explanation on why are we being served based a coin flipping, straw drawing method? in simple terms, we took an effort to get in line early and now others are just jumping queue right before our very eyes and we can't do anything about it. ridonkulous. i'm prepared for this to be deleted as it doesn't offer one piece of usable information, but i just had to vent if not i would hv just punched something or someone. now i'm just back to being disappointed

latest update from Machines 1U at 11.45pm, iPhone 32GB black has arrived. they had to send their own delivery people to pick up the stock directly from Brightstar. ready for collection tomorrow but please call beforehand as they might distribute the available stock to those who came earlier today and did not get their phones. just collected 32GB black from Machines 1U . whole process took about 45 minutes. don't start rushing over there, suggest to call or wait for their call as the phones are already reserved for those who didn't get theirs yesterday.

QUOTE(HuorEarfalas @ Aug 1 2009, 11:11 AM) Now that Machines 1U have stocks, that's good news, though I'm worried I couldn't get mine from the first batch as I deposited on the 23rd july. That's kinda late, I presumed you guys who got the phone from Machines 1U booked it rather early? Anyway, how was the queue over there? my deposit paid on 17/7, no queue.. i was the first there and another 2 early bird compatriots from the day before came shortly after. all 3 of us got our phones. Added on August 1, 2009, 11:27 amQUOTE(pbkuan @ Aug 1 2009, 11:24 AM) well i read alot on ppl comment this only diff is the capacity but yesterday in maxis center, got 1 guy claim that he is expert in iphone esp jailbreaking etc he claim that the 32gb speed is faster then 16gb that why is good that, if got ppl here that got their iphone .... can test the speed that will be good..... haven't heard that before but i doubt its true This post has been edited by andyoba: Aug 1 2009, 11:27 AM
