QUOTE(Conroe @ Aug 29 2010, 04:11 PM) The sound is bassy but i was expecting abit more roar.Changing from midbox to center bullet increase the sound onot? Mostly,it will be the belt or bearing.U mean the noise follow with the acceleration?means when u tekan minyak it get loud?like chain sound? Now my gentu producing that type of noise rdy and it's coming frm the timing belt area.Gonna check it nxt month whether need belt replacement ornot. Now pokai rdy after burned rm400 yesterday. mine the other way around bro...when idling if i put the aircon to a faster speed, the sound is much more noisier....but when i'm accelerating, sound sudeh ilang....just imagine u put a piece of paper at a table fan and switch the speed...the exact same sound produce in my car...

how often do u guys service your brakes??i've done once on my old wira (all wheel are disc brakes)...coz the rear brake jammed...was driving until smoke come out..haha.. anyway, the way the workshop service..they use a pump to pump out the brake oil through the rear brakes...then pour a new brake oil inside and pump it out through the rear brakes again to flush the tubes connecting the brake oil reservoir (in the bonnet) to the rear brake..then fill in the brake oil till full.. haven't done it on my gen2...already 4 years..

guys,
i've just change the coolant this morning. never heard that brand (GEP) and it cost me rm40 for just 1 litre. this is the first time after almost 3 years i changed the coolant.
and same goes with battery. replaced it with unfamiliar brand, Global. the price was very cekik darah, RM260, with 1 year warranty. actually i was planning to get century, yokohama or gp atlas but the bengkel just sell Global battery. i was tired of searching bengkel, so i gave it a try. like tyres, didnt really familiar with hankook (global oso korean product), but i dare to give a shot.

brake - just change whenever necessary...usually change when the pad is thin n the stopper almost touch the disc...
bullet swirl - not recommended for gen2 be it auto or manual...just get a straight bullet not the swirl type...
torque dip - exhaust + fpr + paddle respond should somehow eliminate the dip a bit...if u already got em installed n still feel the torque dip is a b|tch then something wrong la...aku rasa byk kali da offer sevis tapi kt semban la...
