Update: On estimated 53 hours after surgery, female touched her whiskas pocket wet food!! Oh gawd, I was so happy. on hour 54 she drank and pee-ed at the litter box before went back to her princess bed and goes back to good recovery rest smile.gif

Food amount on eating was considered very small portion, but it was a good start. Hope she will have more by tonight.

The small problem is still feeding that large 250mg tablet and try not make her struggle hard and damage her stitch.

Thanks guys wink.gif

orijen good aight? how long have u been feeding it? wait for few more months, u will see your cat growing fit with nice fur! if u have long fur cat, u can see the fur looks different than others... even better look if your cat is neuter... if short hair, u can see fur growing well and shiny.

RC is not a good food, you may also like pumpkim swicth to orijen, or evo another good choise in dry food, if got budget even better get grain free canned food. The best still is raw feeding. smile.gif

actually i find RC not bad. but my maomao seems not to like it so much as she takes 4 months just to finish 4kg. doh.gif

after i brought a kitten back home, i found it will be troublesome for me to buy both adult cat and kitten dry food, so EL suggested me to get them orijen as it is suitable for both adult cat and kitten. they love orijen so much, finished up 12kg in 4 months ( i used to rescue a kitten who ate a lot last month, he been staying with me for 1 week). to be more accurate, both of them still eat more than 10kg in 4 months. so maomao consumed 5.++kg of dry food in 4 months time, which is much more than RC. thumbup.gif

a pet shop owner in sunway did gave me a sample pack of evo, but my babies didnt like it. sad.gif i wonder why.....

Good to hear your kitten is whacking the orijen. I know lot of cat wont resist RC, and the'r added mineral really make the poo smell FANTASTIC. Those filler in RC just not worth at all to purchase RM89 to get a 4kg dry food. Evo is great dry food, it maybe the sample not fresh or small amount of cat will not respond that fast to eat evo then rc IF you been feeding RC. If you leave it they, they will eat for sure. Do you give some canned food once a while to enlighten their live? laugh.gif

yea...i used to feed maomao with canned food for dinner every night, but after she refused to take dry food and just wait for canned food every night, i stopped giving her canned food. now i just treat the canned food as a snack for them,will only buy once in few months time.

EL, i found that maomao loves bread, even the wholemeal bread. she will share the bread with me in the morning. i was so surprised laugh.gif , is there any serious effect on the cats if they eat bread?

2.5kg = RM59
7kg = RM14+.++

the 7kg ones, i got it for RM139 (if not mistaken) after discount from Pet Safari.

Orijen: RM23.60 per kg
RC : RM21.75 per kg (Fit 32)

so Orijen is just slightly more expensive biggrin.gif

nah there's no serious effect with wholemeal bread.. its like eating iams/rc/sp (which contains wholemeal,grains,rice)...

some cat might spit it out later... some like it...

How about Friskies/Whiskas, more carbo, side effect?

My female on healing progress. I fail to strictly feed the big tablet on time. Anyone got female spayed? Did Vet gave some tablets to feed? If I may know the detail of amount and name that'd be great smile.gif

yeap friskies/whiskas has more carbo/grains/etc.. like 80%-90% of it is by grains.

all my cats neuter and spay did not have to eat any tablets... im not sure why u need to give tablets.

and from what i know, there's a risk of neutering animal without fasting... and maybe that tablets is to reduce the risk? u need to ask your vet..

so far i never come across vet neutering animal that did not fast.. all of them will reject the animal.

i think just give the little kitty more time (as the kitty might need time to gain trust on human), and lotsa lovessss.... wub.gif

different cats different behaviour. for example, maomao, if i scold her, she will not come to me for the whole day, but my siao bai will still come to me the next minute after i scolded her. laugh.gif
