El, cutiepie
my student found a kitten outside her house. she has been feeding her for 2 days. but she doesnt know how to take care of her. so i brought him back and looking for adopter. the problem is, this little kitten had an owner, he has a colar with him. so, there is no flea on him. and after bathing him, i found a jelly type of transparent thingy came out from his eye. do u guys know what is that? thanks in advance. |

QUOTE(elfreakz @ Jul 10 2009, 06:48 PM) hello to lost & found kitten thanks a lot El, but the jelly thngy came out only after bath. now no more already. do you think i should post him under lost and found or just put him up for adoption. i cant keep him for too long cause he fight with siao bai. and i have no other place to seperate him. that transparent thinggy look like mucus right? lendir/cecair pekat/somehow look liek thick tahi mata? keep cleaning it, my vet say need to clean with tissue and contact lenses cleaner.. what they call that thing eh? eerrkk solution is it? ya ya as long as the contact lenses cleaner.. do not use tab water from your sink - it is dirty. just wipe the kitten eyes with tissue and solution as frequent as you can... basically 3 times a day should be ok. do not mix the kitten with your cats... let he/she rest by him/herself.. avoid dust too... so the place should be clean.. possibility he/she will also sick while having eyes infection. if the eyes turn bad, he/she might end up having eyes infection. you really need to treat this at the vet... eyes infection hurt so bad, especially if its involve ulcer in the eyes... pain and suffering... |

QUOTE(elfreakz @ Jul 11 2009, 11:28 AM) no fur like sphynx eh... its a expensive breed ... yes yes....like me, im allergy to cat fleas how bad is your family member allergic? if really bad, you better don't. because i'm afraid it will turn worst. remember, a person with no allergy also can get allergy anytime. it is not the cat fur that make allergy, but the dander, dust mites, etc. i hope you can rethink about this again, or maybe see how you keep your cat. is it in a room or the whole house. by the way, El, how to make my maomao and siao bai fren this little kitten? i don know wats wrong with them, not siao bai don even want to fren maomao anymore. now the kitten hide inside the carrier, maomao in the toilet and siao bai under the bed. QUOTE(elfreakz @ Jul 12 2009, 02:55 AM) introducing cats will takes alot of times... don't paksa paksa.. just let it be natural ways... if fight occur, avoid them involve in it... few days later, try to feed with some delicious wet food and let them eat near to each other.. let say 2 bowl.. 1 for your kitten and another 1 for the new kitten. if they are ok, try share all in 1 bowl Thanks El for the advice. sometimes they seem ok to each other but sometimes they are not. i always tot opposite gender attract each other, seems it doesnt apply to cats some people use toys to introduce new cats... entertain them with the new toys.. let them play together.. Added on July 12, 2009, 10:54 pm QUOTE(Vk21 @ Jul 12 2009, 02:40 PM) @pumpkinn: Oh you're a good teacher, heheh. That must be messy, stressful, and lots of fun! to take care of them ^^. Careful with those student exam papers! xD lol....thanks.Nah.. I am just a tutor, so no exam papers at home. take care of them? you mean my cat and kittens? yea....i stayed at home during the whole weekend just for them. scare they will fight if i go out for too long. Added on July 12, 2009, 10:56 pm QUOTE(CutiePie69 @ Jul 12 2009, 09:49 PM) Maybe while bathing the cat some shampoo went into the eye? Thanks cutiepie. I will try to observe. if i find his eyes have sign of infection, i will get medicine from pharmacy. So it caused some eye iritation. If the cat has minor eye problem... discharge and a bit reddish.... go to the pharmacy and get a tube of 'Teramycin' an eye ointment for humans but can be used for cats as well. It only costs RM3.00 to RM4.00 per tube. Just rub some on the eye lids. Make sure your hand are cleaned before putting on the ointment. We don't want to put more germs into the eye. For cleaning eyes better use facial cotton (the square ones) rather then tissue... tissue a bit rough and might hurt the eyes. This post has been edited by pumpkinn: Jul 12 2009, 10:56 PM |

QUOTE(abang brother @ Jul 13 2009, 09:58 PM) Hi guys, my kitten died just now. I saw she when she is sighing for the last time. abang brother, my sincere condolences to you.My kitten was suspected to be infected with FIV or poisoning. It is unsure. Added on July 13, 2009, 11:15 pm QUOTE(CutiePie69 @ Jul 13 2009, 11:59 AM) I don't know why all my cats are super friendly with other cats that means you are a good mummy. Very well behave la... Mmmmm maybe your cats are very territorial and that's why they will take time to adapt to new cats or things in the house. Don't worry after a week they will be buddy buddy... yea...hope they will become buddy buddy... Added on July 13, 2009, 11:17 pm QUOTE(Chinchillas @ Jul 13 2009, 10:59 PM) Hi, chicken skin??? I saw some ppl that have FAT cat(Like a balloon, super round), i wondering are those cat due to : 1. DIET is too GOOD. Lack of excersice? 2. Genatic/breed? 3. Owner is purposefully feeding high fat food to the cat such fat? 4. Eat too much chicken skin. i guess most are due to genetics/breed. This post has been edited by pumpkinn: Jul 13 2009, 11:17 PM |

QUOTE(Chinchillas @ Aug 16 2009, 12:10 PM) RC is not a good food, you may also like pumpkim swicth to orijen, or evo another good choise in dry food, if got budget even better get grain free canned food. The best still is raw feeding. actually i find RC not bad. but my maomao seems not to like it so much as she takes 4 months just to finish 4kg. after i brought a kitten back home, i found it will be troublesome for me to buy both adult cat and kitten dry food, so EL suggested me to get them orijen as it is suitable for both adult cat and kitten. they love orijen so much, finished up 12kg in 4 months ( i used to rescue a kitten who ate a lot last month, he been staying with me for 1 week). to be more accurate, both of them still eat more than 10kg in 4 months. so maomao consumed 5.++kg of dry food in 4 months time, which is much more than RC. a pet shop owner in sunway did gave me a sample pack of evo, but my babies didnt like it. |
