It could just be a new ruling but it doesn't make sense to me.
Speaking of which, do U think it'll be wise for me to apply for both Amex Gold Charge & CC at the same time or what?!

@*devilelle*,
A fellow forummer here recently reported he's got 14 cards and counting... Another has 3 name card boxes filled with CCs. Conclusion: I don't think the 3 card per person rule is applicable but in my opinion, it's pretty good to curb over spending - not like it's gonna help if each card gives CL of RM200k! |

@Optiplex330,
Hence people accumulate CCs over the years because their needs changes. I prefer to remain loyal to one cause of the reward points and my pick for now is Amex *smiles* Citibank sux in my opinion and I'd been with them for 10 years! @vampbreak, Er.. I believe my existing Amex Plat oredi give me access to Concierge services @*devilelle*, Er.. CC business is quite high risk ! This post has been edited by tinkerbel: Jul 10 2009, 10:32 AM |

@Optiplex330,
Amex is not as recognised here in MY hence despite Amex being my 1st choice, I still use Citibank as my secondary card for when the merchant doesn't accept Amex. Also, Dell Malaysia does accept Amex |

@Optiplex330,
At the moment, tadak CC yang bagi FOC access to Plaza Premium Lounge @ LCCT. The only one I can think of is SCB's Visa Infinite but that comes with RM800 AF p/year hence doesn't fulfill your requirement either As I mentioned, Amex wasn't too recognised here in MY. For our Msian market, it was always MasterCard and then Visa caught up |

@woengx2,
SCB Visa Infinite comes with Priority Pass Level 2 and Plaza Premium Lounge LCCT is affiliated to Priority Pass hence SCB Visa Infinite holders can get access. I thought the 1st year AF waiver for SCB Visa Infinite were only applicable to PB members; perhaps I should try to put in an application then @Gen-X, Use the Amex 0% instalment plan instead of the merchant instalment plan then |

@woengx2,
PB as in Priority Banking or Privileged Banking, whichever the banks call it. Yeah that's right - U need to show the Priority Pass -- Added -- In order to gain access to Plaza Premium Lounges, U will need to show your SCB Visa Infinite + Priority Pass. @woengx2,
Perhaps U could call the bank to check with them. But tgeoklin is right; Priority Pass access is only given to principle cardholder and not supplementary. However, I don't think you're using a supplementary card |

@*devilelle*,
AFAIK when banks reject CC applications, the CS wouldn't know the reason. |

@tgeoklin,
Yup.. USD27 for each guest. @woengx2, Ah well.. in that case, try again the next time and if U don't get in, perhaps U could all the bank on the spot for the reason. @*devilelle*, Apparently it's just a policy and only the credit department will know the reason. |

@vin_ann,
U go ahead - if I make it to the TreatsFair I probably put an application in on the spot - shouldn't be too difficult since I'm oredi an existing Amex CC holder @woengx2, I guess we just haf to wait for another forummer to give us his report. Or whoever's got the SCB Visa Infinite + going to LCCT soon can give it a try and report back. Til then, it's just going to be baseless debate |

@jack2,
I don't usually do that but if I'm writing to U, u would know what I'm speaking to because I usually make a point of reference. I don't like quoting other people cause that means I have more to type and can't respond fast enough, plus what's the point of having too lengthy posts @vin_ann, Thank U @he-sham, Optiplex330 is right - the LCCT Plaza Premium Lounge is only accessible if you have Priority Pass which is issued together with the SCB Visa Infinite. |

@vampbreak,
Er... I don't see much rewards from that other than if you're a frequent traveller cause of the Priority Pass. No free gift some more and need to pay RM800 per annum! For all U know, hye's one of the "rare" few here This post has been edited by tinkerbel: Jul 10 2009, 06:17 PM |

@vampbreak,
Eh... please stop trying to be so modest; it's having a reverse effect @Reventon, Congratulations! Yes it comes with 2 Golden Lounge Vouchers; one for local travel and 1 valid at an International destination; or at least that's what I read. |
